    Robot Handbook Worksheet Update

Sorry to necro, but I tried this sheet for the first time in a while and I have a couple of questions; working on an update to cut my teeth for the VHB. Does the added cost or the combined cost double? As in, does it look like +100%, +200%, +400%, +800%, or +100%, +300%, +700%, +1,500%? The...

    Travellers Needed! High Guard Updates

Frozen Watch is already a thing - can't comment on the whole '200 ton to 50,000 ton with exactly the same crew' thing, though. But as for feel, with Virtual Crew and drones from the Robot Handbook, you can absolutely have it both ways.

    2300AD Invasion, Part 1: Errata

Seeing as allowing more than one missile bay would more than likely just lead to having as many missile bays as you have missiles, I would assume it's just one.

It's just MCr0.1/ton, the original Element classes were a bit weird. Not modules, separate 'ships' that were welded together over weeks.

    Stingfish Light Carrier

I wouldn't say it's that much of a concern - the fighters still have 4 weeks of endurance, if they need more and can't get it from a nearby station or from wilderness refuelling they've got much bigger problems. ... Though a lot of my fighters use R-Drives and I still don't pack extra fuel onto...

At risk of being difficult - does that interact with military/civilian crewing requirements? Military craft need three so their stations are always manned, but robots don't need sleep. Suppose that applies for virtual crew/gunner as well, actually.

Based on my reproduction, doesn't look like it.

I'd say 1 - it's got the fewest question marks for how robots vary with sophonts.

Assuming you mean Gun Combat 2 and Science 2 as the final modifier, with both skill and characteristic DMs, yes.

... I bolded the relevant bit. Surely you realise you're being pedantic, right? This is for the finalisation section - the summary of the robot, which is where the argument started. That's just to make it clear for the reader what the robot is meant to do - that's why it says or list (all)...

so just for the record could you confirm that i am indeed a most handsome and generous lover? And to be fair, I didn't exactly help. A lot of the lark I was on earlier was me assuming it was Science (all) 4, not 3.

Y'know just buying Science 0 and Language 0 makes it pretty cheap? Only needs +25 Bandwidth like that. I'll concede I was confused about that from the outset, but if anything it makes these designs more permissive, not less. Bolted on the other bollocks - it's Cr9,360,430. I'd've rounded up...

Then I refer you to the passage on page 76. It's identical to any sophont with Science 0 - they can tackle all Science related skills with DM+0, plus their INT (or EDU) DM. Same for robots.

Could you explain to me why that matters here? Buy Science 0 and Language 0, you're off to the races.
