I ran a game for about a year that is currently on hold due to the birth of my daughter and a cross-country relocation. You can check out the webpage here:

Hey, thulsa. If you are not a native speaker of English then you are already aware that English has no consistent rules whatsoever.
I would also go with Totrani, but I like Totranite as well. I think the latter has more of a "biblical" feel.
If you want simpler rules, my recommendation would be to go with True20. True20 will free you from the fallacious idea that D20 has to be complicated.
The main advantage of True20 over other simple game systems is that since it is D20, conversion is quite simple.
I have toyed around with the...
As I understand things, the concern over the pending 4th edition is not about legal issues, but about the disappearance of a fan base for D20/OGL products. Most gamers will simply follow D&D wherever it goes and if WotC doesn't make 4th edition open game content, then other game companies that...
I just realized I forgot to give the details in the latest post. We play 7-10PM eastern standard time on Tuesdays. The client software is free and works on any platform.
I have another spot open for my online game. This is not a PbP game, but a live chat game using kloogewerks. You can check out the campaign at:

If people just want to try it out for a session or two before committing, that would be fine as we are just...
You are making some big assumptions with this claim. Parries and armor as DR were not the sole property of RQ. It is far more likely that these rules in Conan is based off of some of the alternate rules in the SRD.
Did those alternate rules come about from RQ? Maybe, maybe not. RPGs have been...
I should point out that the High Lord posted this minutes after the end of my online game wherein his Gunderman skewered several highwayman with his nasty pike. So he may have been suffering the residual effects of bloodlust. :)
Fear from a game 20 years past its prime? Don't kid yourself. If D20 has any concerns it will be from much more polished streamlined younger games like Savage Worlds and the Burning Wheel. Not from relics.
The proof will be in the pudding in a year or so.
Claims that D20 slows down play are highly exaggerated. Like any system, the key is having a GM who knows the system. I am sure if I started playing RQ tommorrow, I would be stopping play quite a bit to check rules ("when do characters get a fourth action?" "What is the % penalty for...
Understood. But BRP is still owned by Chaosium not Mongoose. Seems like it would be a touchy legal issue to expand a game that was based on the BRP but not have it be BRP.
This theory has been batted around a bit, but it seems to me that MRQ would be an odd choice for a "house system" because it is not a "universal" system, but rather is geared toward the fantasy genre. Since Chaosiom still retains the rights to the BRP, RQ is kind of boxed in as a house system.
