Still waiting for the Companion and the Gloranthan material to show up. The few test combats I've run don't feel right. I need a fumble table and slashes. :)
I'd assume that the act of becoming a Rune Lord/Priest would integrate the relevant runes anyway in a Gloranthan campaign. Part of the benefits of the cult status. Some cults might need an object Humakti swords, perhaps but most of the connection would be given through the direct interaction...
Oh Dear.
Oh Dear.
They aren't fixes; one's instant death, the other play for a few hours to resolve a combat.
I think I'll be sticking with RQ3 damages as the adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it" springs to mind. It's the lack of the damage boosting specials and the armour ignoring...
Absolutely. A longbow with those stats and a good archer behind it will be able to take down tens of well armoured swordsmen before they get close enough to stick him.
Now if you're going to play smartarse you'd do better without quite so many typos. :D What's a Maginum?
Basically the point is that the longbow damage is better(IIRC) than Mongoose's new greatsword. I really can't see a longbow taking limbs off, especially through armour. I don't care...
Iron will though. Plus big guns. Plus armour. The elves might be hitting more but they won't be doing much damage. They'll have the same problems as the trollkin.
Pleasantly surprised by this. I'd like bigger maps to be available as well, but if that's the standard of the rest of the Glorantha stuff then I'll be delighted.
I'd like to think that the waters really do have the power to remove the taint of chaos, and that it's possible for the "repentant" to find a path away from chaos.
RQ2 all the way. The GW versions are almost verbatim reprints of the then current Chaosium/AH output, though the GW RQ3 was in some respects edited for maximum confusion.
I'm really not liking MRQ at the moment-I need to read the Companion and the Glorantha stuff before I reach a final decision...
I'd tend to go along the cultural rebel path, where for whatever reason the Wild Healer and the Cleansed One aren't illuminated but are travelling their own paths.
I'd hope illumination is very rare.
