The aircraft rules in Order of Battle are a little messed up. For example seafire was never as good as a late war zero. The allied planes are a little out of wack but other than that I like the rules as is.
You forgot that Canada had 2 majestic class carriers, HMCS Bonaventure and HMCS Magnificent and 2 light cruisers HMCS Ontario and HMCS Quebec. Also where is HMS Vanguard and The french has FS Richelieu and FS Jean Bart until the later 50's
What we do is roll for the carrier ability just like any other, if it is lost you can not launch or retrieve aircraft. I would think though if an aircraft carrier is crippled launching and retrieving aircraft would be the last thing they would be doing. It is more important to save the ship than...
As far as I understand it the two on one example you used would be resolved by rolling for each flight of aircraft. If I remember correctly the seafire would be out of ammo but could continue to defend itself but could not shoot down any other aircraft until it is rearmed. as far as attack...
Are there anymore ships that were done but have not been published? I have noticed that we have not got anything in S&P for two months. If we have evrything I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work.
That's great Dm I too use some odd ball ships depending on what country I am playing.
Battleship: HMS Vanguard
Battlecrusier: HMS Hood
H Cruiser: Kent Class
L Cruiser: Fiji Class
Destoryer: Tribal Class
Carrier: HMS Arc Royal
Sub: German E boats
I was woundering what ships people like to use most offen, I was thinking of what classes everyone uses. Favorite Battleship/Battlecruiser,Heavy Cruiser, Light Cruiser, Destroyer, Aircraft Carrier and Sub.
If a ship is reduced to zero crew it only makes sense that the ship cannot move or fire as there is nobody onboard to do so, as for capturing another ship your ship would have to have enough crew to so and it would mean stopping your ship to offload the crew and becoming a very tempting target.
It is a interesting idea for sure. To make it work you would have to put enough crew to make the ship at least have a skeleton crew but you should not be able to do it if by doing it you reduce your ships crew to skeleton status.
I too have liked the new ships stated out in S&P, and I too would love to seen new real and hypothetical ships from the Japanese and some other ships from less known navies I.E the Dutch and would love to see new stats for the different ships in the french Richaleu class I.E Jean Bart and...
I've been reading the posts for a while and have been hearing that some of the ships stated out for order of battle would be in the S&P but for monhs all we have gotten is advanced rules and the like, the group I play with would like to see the offical stats for these ships as we are avid...
Where we play we have done away with the three flight rule as this seems rather silly, three flights would not have a chance of sinking a cruiser nevermind a battleship without a lucky die roll.
