Just got my copy today, was a pretty speedy delivery.
Very happy with what I've skimmed through so far- especially as there are a few mentions of Lone Wolf himself that I'm choosing to read as a hint that the Grand Master levels and the New Kai Order will be visited at some point in the future.
I'm saying that the player makes a single roll, the combat ratio for this roll is effected by the presence of the other doomwolves.
extra damage taken by the player (as is likely to be happen with a lowered combat ratio) represents him being laid into by by the others as he is fighting the one...
one roll for one opponent (or he can deal out damage to whichever opponents he chooses from a pool if you like, but its probably sounder to deal it all to one opponent), the reduces combat ratio more than well enough reflects the fact he is surrounded by enemies
would reading the combat order rules as "until all who are engaging are engaged" simplify this at all?
and while it isn't an enforced rule that you must attack, in many situations it's a sound expectation:
the bad guys aren't just going to sit on the sidelines having a cigarette, they're going...
thanks for your replies guys.
I'm better accepting the changes to the BotCS now, after I checked the stats of the Szall again (it was the closest thing I could imagine to what an average merchant might have the stats of)
I can also easily see that with the BotCS spells being what they are now...
My desire probably wouldn't be to make a BotCS who is a melee combat character per se, as there would be little point to that when it would be simpler to make a Knight or something else to serve that purpose. I just kinda miss the option for a BotCS to stand with his comrades with his back to...
Hey guys,
Having recently getting Heroes Of Magnamund, I have to admit I am a tad disappointed with the Brother of the Crystal star class.
Don't get me wrong, I can see why changes have been made to the class, and Willpower is introduced because spells have become more costly in order to work...
An intriguing theory, can you suggest why the ability to become a Kai Lord has dwindled though? Mixing blood with the Durenese perhaps?
Also might that imply that in the future there will be even less Kai Lords?
Ok, a quick google search has provided this from lw-oasis.org
Kian
The first king of the Sommlending people. He lead his people in MS 3434 against the Darklords and their armies. The Sommlending, armed with the Sommerswerd, slowly drove their enemies back beyond the Durncrag Mts. Kian named...
That is the key example, I do recall seeing something about King Kian wielding the Sommerswerd to drive off the Drakkarim in the early days of the Sommlending arriving in what is now Sommerlund.
I sadly cannot recall WHERE I read this, so cannot give a reference, or double check to see if I have...
Hey guys,
A niggling thought came to me when I was trying to sleep last night-
The royal line of Sommerlund have been shown to be able to wield the Sommerswerd- something only a Kai Lord can do without the blade losing its power.
So this would imply that the powers of the Kai Lord run strong in...
