    Can you use the Player's Guide without buying into 2nd edition? I am really not interested in dropping more money for the 2nd edition at this time, but the Player's Guide sounds cool.

    And it is very very pretty. I got my copy of Solomon Kane before 2nd Edition, cause I couldn't find a copy at my favorite online retailer or local hobby shop. I am throughly enjoying Solomon Kane and am seriously considering switching my Conan game to Savage World.

    pre-written adventures vs. homebrew

    I personally love coming up with the adventure but really hate the mechanics. I hate making NPC stat blocks and such, so I tend to try to steal NPCs where I can. Heck, I even hate making my own PCs, but I love RPing them. Which is why I wish Mongoose would come up with a book of various NPCs...

    How does Savage World do magic? I have Pirates of the Spanish Main, but there is no magic in the system. I was thinking about picking up the main book and Solomon, but I am curious how spells are handled? Skills?

    I have been waiting and waiting and neither my local game store or from my favorite website game store. My players want to pick up the book and they want to get 2nd Edition. I hope it reaches here soon.

    Making up NPCs.

    Is it just me or is making NPCs a pain in the ass? All my players love to make characters... I find it tedious at best. I love coming up with the adventure and the story, I just hate make stats. Does anyone have any hints? Is there a website with a bunch of NPC stat blocks around? Anyone...

    I for one, would welcome a book with just a bunch of NPCs. I like the idea.
