I've played Conan since it came out now, and would love to continue playing. However with Mongoose supporting 4e will this affect their Conan line? I'm definitely concerned as the amount of support/releases for Conan has already been few and far between.
It seems Hasbro has made some pretty...
1) Does someone pushed back due to Force Back suffer an AoO from his attacker or just from other enemies who threaten the area?
1b) If the attacker gets the AoO I have a hard time finding why someone with only Power Attack would not always use this maneuver. You get the benefits of power...
Thieves cannot use sneak attack beyond 30 feet because they cannot attack with deadly precision due to the range.
Telekenisis is stated to have increased accuracy, Great telekenisis even more so (and also allows Hidden Death with synergises with Sneak Attack very well). It also ignores all...
This goes beyond being able to kill up to 4th level guys. On average you are forcing the Massive Damage save every round as well, so even if your opponent has 50 - 100hp they still have to save or die.
I don't particularly see a problem however, as a DM I enjoy watching the massive blood...
(1) Is there a weight limit to the objects moved with Greater Telekenisis?
TK text defines "objects" = "alchemical, rocks, weapons, and so on." But This is not Conjuring which has a light weight limit defined (5 pound move, 10 pound hover)
alchemical (extremely light)
rocks (Rock = pebbles...
If someone was using hit and run tactics, a player could ready action vs. an attack/approach. When the Greater Mobility bastard comes running by he gets attacked by the player with a ready action.
Now...if the greater mobility person had a reach weapon and the PCs had no range or reach...
I had a problem of player's holding onto fate points and only using them to be left for dead. Unless I upped the difficulty some players were starting to get 5+ fate points.
What I did was place a hard cap on them. At most a PC can have 3 Fate Points in reserve. Hyboreans can have 4 (racial...
That fur loincloth should clearly be considered hide armor for a Barbarian. With fur boots, at least a % of the body shold be covered enough to grant a DR of 1 or 2. I would suggest adding "Primitive Armor" to a Barbarian's proficiency list :D
Or quite simply describe Hide Armor for the...
I happen to like the Temptress class and see no problems with the whip. My wife happens to like it too and is modifing her existing character with the new class, so don't say its there for 13 year old boys.
She was roleplaying a thief character based on charisma and charisma skills that fit in...
The major problem with non-lethal damage is undead scholars will not be affected by this limitation.
Scholars can be deadly without defensive blast. They manipulate the game outside of combat and can bring countries to their knees. Playing a scholar isn't for combat oriented players, they...
I use Lankhmar:City of Adventure (TSR 9162 1985) along with the Shadizar box set.
My favorite part is the mini book that came with it. It contains dozens of different city geomorph maps ready for customization of random encounters, guard patrol paths and times, and locations. Than it has...
I've just removed it from my games. I really don't see a Conan Sorcerer doing this.
I did up the Curse of Yzil duration though. As Conan's thief lacky said "Its bad luck to kill a wizard".
What is the proper way to apply damage to a PC per the mass combat pdf on the site?
They act independantly but how much damage should be applied to the PC if the PC is attached to a unit?
For example, 2 PCs are leading 30 Soldiers to wade in and slaughter 40 Picts. The majority of Picts...
Commanding a small army has a great feel to it, I would not deny a PC to have followers. One PC has finally received their Enhanced Leadership ability and now has 40 NPC followers. This is fairly new to our group, we've always run traditional party campaigns. Any suggestions for keeping a...
