    Phaser-G Kill Zone discussion

Any time you fellows go on and on about SFB and FC I am reminded of the historial gamers that have a hissy fit if a unit has the wrong color hat in a wargame. I play ACTA's because it is simple , dare I say elegant, rule system. I have tried SFB and was unimpressed, I looked at the rules for...

    New Player with some questions

Another point many new players miss. Use terrain! The game is unbalanced if you only play on an open field. Klingons and Kzinti have range advanages that are tough to overcome in a clear map. Stellar debris is important and adds a tactical depth to the game. Use cover to gain a better postion...

A Seeking Question....I know, another one

So in my example are you saying 3 rolls (per system) or 5 rolls (per AD)?

A Seeking Question....I know, another one

In the rules you may evade a seeking weapon if you A. have used the special action Take Evasive Action (pg 13) or B. have moved more than 12" (pg.17) by passing an opposed Crew Check The question is do we make the Check per ship, per weapon system or per Attack Dice. For example I have a...

MuGu games Star Fleet Campaing Ends

Thanks for the game, Pete. You've got a good looking fleet, and its quite a bit scary. I got lucky with you coming in from reserve in two waves. One more ship in range I would have been hurting. Looking forward to you joining the campaign.

MuGu games Star Fleet Campaing Ends

It varies, but generally in the evenings 5pm .Weds are usually a good night as many of us also play 40K. We post on Facebook when available (Northwest Wargamers) or looking for a game. Or just check the store out, it is a GREAT place to game and the owner (mike) and the staff are all good...

Even more Drone questions it never stops!

I appreciate your input Rambler, but it did answer it for me. A) The rule in the book B) Mathew's reply to your question and Captain Jonah's excellent collection of Mr. Sprange's rule musings C) In each case it tells us to roll a die for every drone fired, not for the drones that get...

Thank you Captain Jonah, that answered it quite well. (Also thank you for compiling all of these answers, that is a great resource)

Even more Drone questions it never stops!

Well except no one is disputing the order in which you can use ADD, phasers, drones and lastly tractor beams. That is clear, the rules on page 44 don't address this question and as such are no help.

Even more Drone questions it never stops!

Well , thats great, I'm alway open to how other people play BUT, that in no way tells me what the actual rules say. I've played many different systems, often with rules that have been played a certain way only to find out later that we have been misplaying a rule. House rules do not help in...

Even more Drone questions it never stops!

Tactically it would be silly to fire the ADD after the defensive fire, but that wasn't the question. ADD is triggered by the number of drones shot at the ship. " Roll a die for every Attack Die of drones attacking a ship with the Anti-Drone trait." It doesn't say 'the number of drones that...

    Some questions with Stellar Debris

Asteroid fields 'attack' a ship moving though the field that fail their Crew Quality check against the fields density. Can you use the Stealth trait against this 'attack'? Do you use the Stealth trait against seeking weapons , A roll versus every AD that is incoming? A Black Hole causes...
