    Ley Lines

Good thoughts. I put ley lines on my maps, but hadn't taken them to the level of detail you all have. Thanks. One thing I DID do was associate each ley with a rune. That way the effects associated with the line were consistent with the type of line. So your trains might run only on Movement...

    Organising the game...

We have a standing Friday game, but revolving/evolving set of GMs. It's at a game store, so the owner sorta keeps track of who is coming, but doesn't have a lot of time to spend on it. When I'm running, I just call up that afternoon to find out how many players I have, and who they are likely...

    Weapon Specific Combat Maneuvers question

Agreed. I just thought I'd better clarify when I saw a "Huh?" and a +1. Steve

    Weapon Specific Combat Maneuvers question

To be clear, my comment refer to layout/description, not to the rule itself. Here's an example: p133: Impale (Thrusting Weapons Only). I cannot find a place where it tells me which weapons are thrusting weapons. I expected to see it on the equipment table, but it doesn't. p101 & 107: on...

    Weapon Specific Combat Maneuvers question

This is one of the areas that I think Legend is poorly described. The rules don't clearly lay out which CMs are only usable by certain weapons (with those CMs listed in the weapon table) and which CMs are usable by any weapon (so are not listed in the weapon table because they are always...

(Mixster: don't read this!) Some adventure design help

I've also found (with my gaming group) that they are more likely to get diverted early in the adventure, and especially before the adventure has really gotten underway. If they've been hired already, that's good. But I've found that making the approach really easy, but the get-away rough...

    Swords

Clearly the swords are from an early age before man could smelt bronze. They were probably made by the "wee folk" (thus the small handles) and gifted or traded to the big folk. The lack of wear probably comes from residual magic that resisted damage. :) Steve

    DTRPG POD

Yeah, you really have to dig to find the pod blogs. I found the one for Lightning Source (relatively distinctive for search) but didn't have patience to wade through the search results to find the DriveThruRPG one. Can anyone provide a direct link?

    Priceless

I blame society as a whole.

    Equipment in Legend

Of those choices, I also like the paragraph format. But I vastly prefer a summary table that has name, short description, price and little else. Then a set of description paragraphs follow that. 90% of the time the table has everything you need, and you can copy it as a handout. Steve

Hit Location Tables in Arcania of Legend: Blood Magic

One of the RQ versions (3 I think) introduced the %-of-total calculation for hit location points. I've always thought it was a good way to go, but I'm pretty comfortable with math. It's not something that you typically have to calculate at the table, so I see it as benign math. :) So, my...

    Swallowing Prey

We need to start a thread for Monster Traits. If I ever get clear of work, I'll go ahead. I would think this would make a great trait, something like, "Swallow Whole" along with spot rules for it. Steve

Improvised Book Cover For (Of?) Legend

I wonder how the two covers are selling relative to each other. Can anyone at Mongoose confirm? I'm curious if the readers of this forum (who overpoweringly disliked the color version) represent the market as a whole. Steve

Vikings of Legend - Now Shipping!

Can anyone speak to the content differences (if any) between this and the RQII Vikings book?
