I was like you...seeing 4e as a table top version of WoW...after a year of playing the new mechanics...they slipped into the background...and the true role-play came back to the fore-ground.
Is there an open gaming license for 4e?
The bottomline is a group of old-school 30s-40s year old gamers...
www.adventuregamestore.com operates as Dragon's Lair in south Florida. They have existed for 18yrs...give or take. Now, b/c of the internet they limp along selling plastic minis...WTF!?
A great shop, supporting all genre of gaming for alot of years...and now catering to a bunch of kids...
Wow, you guys are filled with bitterness...if I didn't know any better I'd think you were all Americans...but enough about slumping economies effect on out looks...
Anime...really...I'm too old for that...not that its not quality and it did spark a revolution in American cartoon product...
NICE!
I will also bring up the point that although the 4e rules system tries to stop power-gamers whose goal is to find a "game-breaker character mechanic combo" from being able to do that; the objective is fatally flawed...
The group I joined showed me just how broken they could make 3.5...

Ultimately, I think 2 thinks...

So I will contribute a bit about 4e:
First off let me say I was die-hard about d20 and not going over to...
There can never be enough Norse campaigning. I'm glad someone's finally writing it!!!
After 6yrs of running northern campaigns I've got enough material to do it myself, but my full-time career and family keep me too busy to be anything but an amateur...good thing for you Pros!
This goes along with my whole sentiments on the issue. I'm not one of those guys who fanatically believe REH wants us to slavishly stick to his written word. I believe he knew some history and embellished the rest in an aim to depict exotic cultural backdrops to place Conan in that would...
