where do i get said ships from?

stalkers? i thought we only had 3 types of ships?

could i have afforded it though? what could i take for each fight type. like Raid, Battle, War etc etc im not sure of the others :D

well my first game was a loss, i had to call a tactical withdrawal against my opponent. I killed one of his EA Dreadnoughts , one of his Tethy Cutters and a few flights of his flyers. I managed to escape with three ships intact, luckily both of my Shadow Ships came through unscaved...more or...

I am very new to this game and by new i mean i have had one game. I love the Shadow and have chosen them as my race to play as from my friends collection. He is using earth alliance and in the friendly game we had he owned me easily. So are there any tips or hints you can give me for playing...
