    Traveller Comics

Indeed they will. Each will be presented first as four individual issues, and then republished as a graphic novel with a new feature or two in the back matter.

    Traveller Comics

If you're fans of the Traveller comics, we've got great news for you. We've just signed two artists to contracts for the subsequent Far Trader and Riftbreaker series. Toby Beal will deftly handle the art chores on Traveller – Far Trader: Insurrection, and Shane Douberly will be rendering...

    Next issues of Riftbreaker comic?

It's coming along, but unfortunately, I don't have an accurate update. The third issue is about 1/3 illustrated and I hassle the art team on a weekly basis to get it done faster. The good news is, it's still Luigi Iannelli doing the art. I think he's perfect for the book, which has a certain...

    Injecting Humor Into the Adventures

If it doesn't affect immersion, humor is great in a game session. After all, we're there to have fun. Jokes by your Travellers are a fun part of the game. What I don't like is when it's derisive, distracting or un-immerses everyone. We're there to participate in a fun and exciting fictitious...

    Travellers Needed! Traveller's 50th

I think this would be a great sector to develop. It is the confluence of K'kree, Hiver and human space. I think its premier subsector would be Torrent, which features an interstellar "river" of star systems where the three empires meet and there is at least one minor race empire as well.

How to make Traveller more popular with TTRPG players

Two gaming sessions at Dragonmeet might not constitute a proper demographic study, but here are a few details about my experience: One female, eight male players. Three in the 20-30 age bracket, six probably 45+. Two were long-time Traveller players, and two others had played before, but not...

    Singularity Companion

It is being worked on, chapter by chapter, at this very moment. They will be sent out as each one becomes available. Then, once they're all done, they'll be organised into the cohesive Singularity Companion, complete with back cover blurb, introduction, and a little afterward that describes what...

    State of the Mongoose 2025

Funny you should mention it. I put in to make that change a few weeks ago. Lemme go check in on the Powers That Be to have that done. MongooseGriffen sounds like quite an ugly beast. I think I'll just do Chris.

Death Station as a starter set.

What I like about Islands in the Rift is that it gets them doing several of the things you do in Traveller: Jumping from system to system in a sandbox (some on a rail; some more sandboxy) Combat Starship combat Vehicle combat Experiencing different starports, environments, etc.

Death Station as a starter set.

I haven't. I didn't know what that was. I remember Keep on the Borderlands, but I had to Google to see the starter set. I see they're producing something new this year that's related.

Death Station as a starter set.

Death Station is great, but consider this: It's a bit of a dungeon crawl. That could be good to help a D&D player transition to Traveller by showing them something familiar and then overlapping the elements of Traveller that are very un-D&D, but it also could hinder them if presented all alone...

How to make Traveller more popular with TTRPG players

💯 I can almost guarantee you that 'the kids' do not surf this forum. Their demographic does not play that game. That said, it's great to engage in a dialogue about how we might reach out to them.

Saw some Mongoose Publishing Merch at PAXUnplugged and had to buy a book!

    That's awesome! I assume it's Studio 2's stand.

    Setting Size

The Traveller setting with jump drive is kind of predicated on limited transit speeds. If you could skip all those nothing worlds, you would. Hence, the long travel times between worlds is kind of intrinsic to the game, at least when it comes to the default jump-drive narrative. However...
