Actually I was planning to use Carvin at the time of "Geometry of Shadows" and maybe once before that (without her using her powers openly). If I recall the dates correctly there is room for a little adventure between the convocation and GoS. Carvin could be making preparations for the passing...
To give a reply to the original question: I have just started a B5 campaign and in the first real adventure I used Lord Refa and Carvin (from the Technomage trilogy). The players were on Raghesh 3 when the Narns attacked and Carvin was along as their passanger. The players didn't know (and still...
The following feat is the SRD:
RIDE-BY ATTACK [GENERAL]
Prerequisites: Ride 1 rank, Mounted Combat.
Benefit: When you are mounted and use the charge action, you may move and attack as if with a standard charge and then move again (continuing the straight line of the charge). Your total movement...
Finally got my copy from mail last week. The shipment was delayed because I also ordered other stuff that Amazon didn't have in stock. The book I got was the Atlantean version as I suspected in my earlier post.
I think that strikes made in the stomach would be critical in the long run, but not immediately fatal. If you managed to hit a liver or some other major organ, that would be a different thing. A good analogy would be eating very sharp glass or metal shards. You would propably do a lot of damage...
Yeah, it's possible. However I remember from the show that many ships flew from B5 to Earth and back (for example Sheridan on Whitestar) without coming out from hyperspace. Since Sector 49 is by far the most direct route to Earth, this suggest that it is possible at least for some ships to fly...
This is the obvious reason in most systems and I have taken it into consideration. However it does not explain how the raiders could attack ships in systems like Sector 49 where there are no place to drop cargo to. The ships must have had other reasons to return to normal space.
While I generally agree that the publisher and writer can and should change details from the show to fit the gameworld, I disagree in this particular case. You shouldn't contradict the show unless you have a clear reason to do so and I can't see any reason to make Centauri women bald. Having...
Anna Sheridan was inside a shadow ship and she wasn't a telepath, so the ships clearly do not need telepaths. I think that what Tegman says is true, they used telepaths to block other telepaths.
Yeah, Im going to do the same. Although I like the books Mongoose is publishing I have noticed that there are always some little things that just don't seem to be right or fit the B5 universe. Maybe a little bit more playtesting and editing would be in order.
I just got a copy of the Centauri factbook and was surprised to read from there that Centauri women are unable to grow hair. This contradicts what we have seen in the series, where many Centauri ladies have "ponytails" hanging from their heads. Here are a few thoughts:
- Maybe the "ponytails"...
Even the smallest ships like shuttles and fighters seem to move there comfortably. I would say that the minimum requirements for hyperspace traveling is ability to transmit and receive data from the jump gate, thrusters and an air-thight hull.
I have also one question keeps buggering me about...
I'd definately buy that one, because that is the one topic that I'd most like to see added to the RPG. Aside from the First Ones, I think it should also feature other younger races that have already been wiped out (Dilgars) or managed to kill themselves (Ikarrans). Also some ancient artifacts...
