Anyone received their Black Missions preorder yet?

Actually I don't mind the artwork - the older stuff was hardly first class. However I do miss some certain pics ("Troubleshooter gains bonus modifiers to his Chutzpah" and "Eviromental Suit on Rinse Cycle") Cheers Mark

    A Stupid Question about Paranoia

..but if they let on they know that's evidence of Treason! :D Cheers Mark

Anyone received their Black Missions preorder yet?

Just got my copy (all the way down here in Oz) and very pleased I am too - I haven't read a Paranoia book since 'Fifth' Edition. Laughed at the writing style, frowned (briefly) at the formatting errors. This is going to get me demoing again for MGP. Cheers Mark

B5 Licence will not be renewed in 2009

A sad time but it's happened to games I've played in the past before and if it don't pay its way we can't expect MGP to keep churning away at it. It does mean that games I play that are MGP are down to two now - and that's occassionally. Cheers Mark

    Evo Zulu.. you input

I was extrapolating from SST LAMI (the movie guys) these are/were Target 3+, Kill 5+! Cheers Mark

    Evo Zulu.. you input

Just a thought that came to me earlier today... For what may be a balanced game the Zulu player is faced with the logistical nightmare of carting around a shed load of figures as well as the morale nightmare of most of those (what? Target 2+, save -, Kill 4+) figures coming off the table PDQ...

    Evo Zulu.. you input

My Osprey book does mention zulu warriors undertakinf rituals to make them believe they were immune to British rifle rounds. Re: breaking a charging mass of Zulus - how about a new trait Supression Vunerable When this unit is the target of ranged fire the attacker roles a number of additional...

    Release schedule query

My PDF purchases tend to be those cheap one-shot idea pieces that I may or may not insert into a campaign. My regular purchases still result in a godzilla sized carbon footprint. And I hate GMs who use computers - it never runs as well as you think it will. Meanwhile Aha Old Bear! Our paths...

EVO: Modern Combat - recorded 1st session on boardgamegeek

Well, there's me - but I'm a bit of a trek away. :( A minor streak of pedantry forces me to declare that while I'm in Australia and I play BFE, I'm not actually an Australian BFE player. Cheers Mark

What happened to the SST playtest files?

A Black and White print-to-order book maybe? Even so, a new rulebook is nothing without the minis and proxys only get you so far.... Cheers Mark

What happened to the SST playtest files?

That's a shame - I'm hoping that SST is one of the things that MGP will go back to when they get their mini production up and running again. Cheers Mark

    Area Terrain and Shooting

This sounds like a good way to handle it. Large wooded terrain peices could count as two seperate areas. Cheers Mark

What's up with the Wheel Special Movement Action?

I'm planning on demoing this game in about a month and now I'm getting the glum feeling that a WW2 expert is going to laugh in my face :( . Unarmed wheeled vehicles do seem disadvantaged with Special Movement except for running people over, and as a non-expert I'd have thought that tracks woud...

New idea for close combat attacks - thoughts please

I'm a sci-fi/fantasy gamer at heart....W@W represents my big push into historical gaming. 'Horror' falls into the above so I'll be up for some playtesting.... Cheers Mark

New idea for close combat attacks - thoughts please

Poor zombies. But I guess at CC d6-2 and no ranged attacks (I'm guessing) they must be dirt cheap in the points department. It just occurred to me that if everyone had 'Charge' as a Reaction (a la Arachnids) then it would get kinda close to what you were after.... I'm not adverse to weapons...
