I did the plans. I tried to maintain the 'feel' of those old illustrations from the original GDW edition. Maybe I misidentified the Sundowner's original illustration. :-(

...in fact it may be one of my maps, I've submitted some ship designs / maps for that publication. If this is the case I'd be happy to gather together the interior descriptions and make the available in a PDF, providing Mongoose are happy for me to do so.

That would be Photoshop, although any image editing software that supports layers will do the job. Method is more important than what tool you use.

Thanks BP, all good spots. As I said, this was a draft, I don't have time to complete. Errors on the stats sheet are down to me carrying text from my construction spreadsheet to the Mongoose style layout. I should re-engineer my spreadsheet to produce an output table that matches the Mongoose...

The beanstalk is just a pipe, very small relative to the tether, which might need to be a fair sized asteroid. While it's definitely more fanciful than a moon based beanstalk there'd be little justification in installing one on a small moon because the escape velocity would be so small. I...

Very cool, would look right at home in 2300A.D. I'd have the fuel compartment behind the spin habitat for added shielding from the reactor, plus you'd not need to pump fuel through the spindle. Still, it's nice to see people using Traveller to underpin their OTUs.
