    Could it be (Common) magic....

Guys, I've got to the point in the core rules about Common Magic, and I noticed that Boon of Night has no range trait, so I presume it's centred on the caster? Also, the Detect spell has no Area trait, although it has range, so exactly how can you detect anything unless it's within a very...

Exactly Dan. If someone entangles you, then doesn't attack, you can still attack and possibly get an attack CM and break the weapon (in this case the net), or even kill your opponent.

Good point Dan! Basically, to 'slip free' you need to be entangled (or whatever) and then have to be attacked again by someone. I think I'm getting it now....

ThatGuy - I don't follow when you say that it works as a CM that is attack or defence based. Surely it's only defence based? It's a defensive CM, so it can only be used to counter certain attack CM's. Or am I missing something?

Cheers Dan, I was thinking along the 'common sense' lines that you described, just wondered if that's what others used. I have another query, regarding the Slip Free combat manoeuvre. When/how exactly does it get used? For most of them it's pretty straightforward, but Slip Free seems a bit more...

I had a look at the SIZ charts, they look pretty good. One question still remains for me though. The rules for Jumping state that an adventurer can jump twice his own height horizontally, but how do you know how tall your adventurer is? What do you guys do to determine height, seeing as SIZ is...

It might be me being thick, but is it the Glorantha Core Rule book I would need, or is it the Glorantha: The Abiding Book? What's the difference?

DamonJynx - thanks for that, I'll get the Glorantha the Second Age core rulebook for now I think, just to get me started, I take it that's the one to go for? I've got Monster Coliseum, I'll probably also geet Arms & Equipment, might be rather useful. EDIT - Having just looked on the Mongoose...

ThatGuy - thanks for the links, I'll take a look at those later and see what I think. Also, thanks for the other suggestions, very useful. I must admit that I've always tried out the games systems I've played over the years, before starting any 'real' scenarios or campaigns. I think it's always...

Thanks for the swift reply Dan, much appreciated! I'll have to work something out for the size, based on whatever I decide upon for my campaign setting. Part of the reason for asking is that I've still got most of my old Runequest character sheets and I was going to have a go at converting...

Greetings one and all! I'm new to MRQ II, only picked up the core rule book last Saturday, but I've played Runequest in the dim and distant past. Actually it was probably about 20 years ago that I last played it! Anyway, having read the rules it seems pretty good, a bit like the old one but a...

Hello there, newbie reporting for duty...

Having had a look on the Internet, I found 2 different 2nd edition fleet lists, both different pictures on the front. Can anyone tell me the difference if any? Does anyone have piccies of the correct 2nd edition rule book and fleet list covers, so I can make an informed decision? Thanks again!

Hello there, newbie reporting for duty...

Thanks guys, I did think it was a wee bit out of date, wasn't sure how much though! I'll have to pick up a copy of P&P then, and the 2nd edition if I can find it anywhere. All the counters in the box I got were unused too, still unpunched, really good condition!

Hello there, newbie reporting for duty...

Greetings to one and all! I recently bought B5:ACTA (Revised Edition) box set off e-Bay, haven't had a chance to play it yet as I've only had it a few days! Been a B5 fan since it started, and I like tabletop battle games, so I thought what the hell. It all seems pretty simple, I look forward...
