    Regarding DD+## Damage

I'm not sure I know of any weapon that does "xDD+##" damage. Only "xDD" weapons are in the books I've seen. However, CRB says for Destructive Weapons the roll is multiplied by 10, not the total damage. That suggests "xDD+##" = (xD6 x 10) + ## and does NOT equal (xD6 + ##) x 10.

Vehicle Handbook Update 2026 - Now Here!

I think the first paragraph should read "Luxury interior space is anything but common" , and scrub the mention of "areas." Then you can have the second line mentioned in a more complementary way, without contradiction.

World Builders Handbook - is there anything actually useful in it?

I'm sure I paid £8 for the boxset, circa 1980, at High Street retail prices. Todays books are mostly hardback and are in colour throughout

Number of staff in Commercial Zones on Space Stations

Rank according to density (staff per dTon): Trinket Stall = Highest Offices = Higher Retail Shops = High Restaurants = Nominal Warehouse / Wholesale Shops = Low Conference Centre = Lower Plazas = Lowest Also would be dependent on size of commodity being showcased/exchanged. Commodity sizes...

World Builders Handbook - is there anything actually useful in it?

Starports, Settlements and Animals tables and rules are in the MgT 1e supplements. The advice of the WBH is to use only as much of it as you need. Ie you don't have to generate all that level of detail just for the sake of it. That is possibly because Traveller is a ultimately a Sandbox style...

Vehicle Handbook Update 2026 - Now Here!

Are you asking about sharing a table that you have created yourself, or are you asking if someone else has prepared one?

    Skills in RPGs

The Starter Editions would be a good place to put the broad skills version and the CRB could retain the subskills version - then, people can chose which version they prefer, or mix'n'match as they like.

    Prototype conscious AI?

Well ... it is a good idea as science and tech do kind of evolve out of prototypes, etc. The thing 'wrong' with it is that it is too promiscuous like any maker can choose to prototype features just because they have wad of cash or spare space for carrying the extra weight. The Prototech theme...

    Prototype conscious AI?

A conscious brain computer would need to model an estimated 228 Trillion synaptic operations per second in order to mimic a human brain. Given the brain's synaptic operations don't work like today's digital computers, not even the fastest digital supercomputer, consuming MegaWatts of power, can...

Ship's Brain Interface sizing and use

The Universe is vast. There is bound to be a number of skills required to make sense of it and accomplish challenges within it. 1) Traveller is specifically a skills and lifepath game - if it didn't offer a wide variety of options then it would lack character where it matters most. 2) It is...

Space Combat - Did I miss something?

ChatGPT says light/EM waves can travel 0.6 billion km (there and back) in six minutes (one combat round). Of course, when dealing with tracking a relatively small, fast moving object, max distances would become a lot shorter to remain meaningful.

100D Limit and Mass of Object

I don't know if anyone knows what is at core. It could just be that there is less empty parsecs per subsector. Dosen't necessarily imply that there are more stars within a 100D - 300D volume. If there are, then that would logically form no-go zones for x-boats, etc. But the whole reason for...

    Ship Trait Bonuses List?

I suspect the answer is no. I thought something like that might be on the Referee's Screen. The Referee's Screen does have tables for 'Spacecraft Scale Weapons' (with traits shown) and 'Common Modifiers' for spacecraft but none of the bonuses you are interested in are on those tables.

    Fatigue at other skills

Referees discretion as the demands of each situation is different. Broadly speaking, there are two types of fatigue: physical fatigue or mental fatigue. Perhaps, since some skills are more mentally challenging, use a INT check instead of END, as a test for fatigue. Could also limit Timeframes...
