There are 3 or 4 low level adventures on Dr Skulls Conan site that work well. You can download everything you need. I am at work so dont have the link but there is one somewhere on this forum or googling DrSkull and conan should get you there.
How different is the Aquilonian style ? The Zingaran book indicates it is more "robust".
I was thinking of buying the players guide but so far have been undecided. If the Aqilonian style is useful it might be another point in the books favour.
Could a player know both ? Would they work...
I think the problem was that without the non-Howard stories there would not be much background on Zamora, let alone Shadizar. However I do think the set captures the right atmosphere for a Zamoran city, given what we know about one from the tower of the Elephant (I don't know if any other REH...
Just got Argos and Zingara and I like the concept of the Zingaran fighting style. Are there any others in any other books or S&P?
There was mention in the Zingara book of an Aquilonian style. As my campaigns have been in the east I have never bought the Aquilonia book.
I plan on using the Spider God module late in my next campaign. Going to make a few tweaks to amke it a "heretic" temple of the spider god as I don't want my characters run out of Zamora after trashing the place.
The Shadizar set is pretty good but the adventure needs some work. As asetting...
I have number of adventures/modules from the older version of the game: River of Cradles, Sun County, Strangers in Prax another couple cannot remember the name of, which I would like to reuse as I enjoyed GMing them years ago. However I am unsure how to best use them.
I could buy the new...
Just clarifying a few things for my campaign and how I am going to arm some of my npc troops and I have slight difficulty with spears. This is based on Atlantean edition - I don't have second. Several of my players have a wargaming background and the way spears are presented here will cause a...
Thanks Vincent
I think I will go with a King of "Corinthia" proper - say the capital and around half the country, but one who has to work with senate of powerful nobles. Keep a feel to it a bit like Imperial Rome where a weak emperor can be ousted by a powerful enough faction of senators. This...
I don't have return but do have the original rok and the Corinthinian king is mentioned there as well but again only briefly.
Some clarification on how Vincent envisages Corinthias government would be nice.
Not heard a lot about this and am wondering if it is worth the effort of buying. I know it is not expensive but I already have plenty of purchases planned and want alittle more info.
How much play will my group get out of it ?
What sort of levels is i suitable for without too much reworking ...
I suppose the range of times when it would be a viable option is limited enough that it won't be an issue. Now and a again some poor npc is going to get really badly hurt :)
If my players start to do this sort of thing I must remember to do it back
As a GM how flexible would you be in the following case.
I have a campaign starting in Messantia and the players know this. They have been asked to come up with characters of any race but they have to provide a background as to how they ended up looking for work in Argos.
Having read some...
Quick question, which has probably been asked before, but a quick search of the forum yielded no clear answer.
Can one attack be a combination of all 3 of the above. So for example
Character A wins the initiative and declares an attack on B who is in armour that he cannot quite defeat, using...
