    Chaosium being picked apart slowly...

besides the fact that the "NEW CoC" everyone keeps fretting/theorizing about IS NOT the *NEW* CoC. it's simply ANOTHER VERSION of rules to be used for Call of Cthulhu, created (from what i understand) with Chaosium's blessings. it will not replace BRP CoC any more than d20 CoC did...

Sanity in Runequest (who wants THAT?)

It occurs to me that in order to avoid "wheel re-invention", the path of least resistance seems to lead to giving the freaky/disturbing/horrifying occurence something equivalent to "Potency", just like a poison or disease. (even though i'm on the fence about Opposed tests...) OR A Character...

Sanity in Runequest (who wants THAT?)

Exactly so...my desire is an OGL modern horror ruleset using MRQ. Seems simple enough, so i might as well get to work on it myself. -k

    Other Literary Campaign Worlds

Would love to see someone get ahold of S. M. Stirling's Dies the Fire / Protector's War / A Meeting at Corvallis... First one's still my fave, and the 3rd isn't out til tommorow, but dang...sweet, sweet Post Apoc mixed with Fantasy. -k

Sanity in Runequest (who wants THAT?)

Would love to see a Sanity add-in... I'd prefer something more akin to the CoC Hit Point-like verison of Sanity, just so you could add a "Horror Mythos" (or whatever) skill and subtract its value from Sanity a la CoC. -k

    Skeletons & Zombies

I'd prefer something Romero-style, like: Zombies only suffer damage from Impaling weapons, and then only with a hit to the Head. All other hits cause only cosmetic damage. (missing limbs, hacked off bits, etc.) If a body part is destroyed/severed, the Zombie might lose movement capability...

    Jeremiah Campaign Locations

same here...i'll be starting my campaign in Texas, since it's a place my group and i are intimately familiar with. the journey to Colorado shouldn't be hard to pull off, and will put us all on "familiar ground" initially. :) -k

    Jeremiah: Attribute Allocation

righto...except for the fact that OGL Wild West, for example, clearly states the methods, while Jeremiah does not. I'm simply playing Devil's Advocate; I've been playing rpgs since 1978, so it's not as if I don't understand the process. I'm simply anticipating the potential for entery-level...

    Jeremiah: Attribute Allocation

try as i might, i have yet to find a reference to exactly how to allocate starting attributes for characters. I understand the neccesary vagueness involved when the product isn't "d20 branded", but for a new player who's maybe just a Jeremiah fan and not a d20 player and doesn't have the PHB...

    Jeremiah: Rural Upbringing?

well, what do you know...Rural Upbringing has been added to the Errata. Squeaky wheel, etc. :D -k

    Jeremiah: Rural Upbringing?

that was kinda my rationale as well, FuryMaster. I'm was born and raised in the Suburbs, but have family from and currently live in a Rural area, so i stand by my concept based primarily on experience. Quality of Education is the primary aspect i considered when doing the Rural background...

    Jeremiah: Rural Upbringing?

Furymaster, It sure does...right in the back. Nothing fancy, but it'll do in a pinch. Hoping to see some cool fan-made sheets...no ink-bombs, but something a little more evocative of the series. one minor quibble is an apparent layer misadjustment on p.2 of the sheet, right-hand side. ...

    Jeremiah: Rural Upbringing?

Just curious...why isn't there and option for "Rural" under the "Upbringing" section in the rulebook?? I mean, i can ADD it myself of course, making the new table: 1-2 Rural 3-4 Inner City 5-6 Suburban 7-8 Upscale and creating Feats, Skills, & Ability Modifiers for that type, but I was...
