Conan is stated to be playable system as itself withouth need to own 3.5ed rulebooks. Therefor if something isn't mentioned in Conan rulebook it doesn't exist. That includes rules about stacking of bonuses.
Shame to hear all of this, expecially about the Atlas...
I wouldn't propably been interested switching on a new system; although i play with several different systems i feel that OGL Conan works perfectly for me and my group.
OTOH Atlas would definely been in my shopping list. All of Vincent...
Do you mean something like a mechanical advantage for not wearing armour (like Pendragon's +5 to combat check for knights who fight unarmoured).
I could hardly see any point in that... Being unarmoured can be seen more or less ordinary situation, wearing the armour is the exception that brings...
Not just larping, my main focus is historical swordmanship based on old fighting manuals.
Heavy armour like full plate or reinforced maille and padding can take quite an lots of punishment... The trick to kill armoured man is not trying to penetrate his armour but attack to the weak spot...
Hell no... :P It is hard enough to carry that to the car when i am going to the event.
I have tried sleeping in a 1300's transistional plate after being awake and armoured almost whole night, for me it was easiest to try resting in a half-sitting position against a wall and although it was...
Doing live-action / re-enc. myself and also training historical swordmanship (although most of the time unarmured).

Actually we are just playing campaign that is mostly happening in Nordheim and which is loosely based on viking sagas, and for the idea that Nordheimers are ancestors of scandinavian vikings who are later days worshipped as gods... Hostilities between Aesir and Vanir are more or less canon that...
Armours and DR has never been a big problem in my games. When my players have them they usually escape withouth serious injuries from most of the mook battles... but on the other hand Conan himself fought half of the times unarmoured so i have also thrown against them challences where heavy...

- Nordheimer male barbarian-4 Leader of the party, at least if you ask from him. Hot-headed and recless (WIS 6) young berzerker who dreams to become one of their clans huscarls and war-leader.
-...
hmmm, now when you think about it, He-Man with more tanned skin and black hair (and without that silly breastplate) would look lots like conan from marvel comics...
Conan himself didn't only ally himself with an sorcerer in both Hour of a Dragon and Scarlet Citadel but did also use sign of Jebbal Sagh to drive away summoned beasts in Beyond the Black River... Although he was not a sorcerer he was willing to take advantage of their help if it was needed.
