Too bad. We have good RPG interest at our store for the Mongoose games but none in the miniatures game so A Call to Arms Journal is of no interest to our customers.
If it was Kickstarter funded then it would perhaps allow Mongoose to source the actual work load to a third party to get the work done to a defined schedule. They can then continue to focus on the core products and have a company manage the production of S&P
I actually thought that was the plan after I saw the other KickStarter thread here in the S&P section. :)
I see some rather average projects in KS getting funded to insane amounts of money. Setting goals for various levels of investment should be a breeze for you guys with so much to offer...

I have not played any of the Judge Dredd games yet and have the new books on the way to the store, so I wanted to ask about the compatibility of the old classic 2000 AD books with the new books. Mechanics wise do they work together easily, or need a lot of work to adapt the stats.

Well this blows. We just started stocking Mongoose RPGs at our store and one of the key influences was the great support given to the books by signs and portents, it showed a nice level of commitment and cutover support well beyond most other rpg publishers. A real shame it is gong away
