Both me and 1 of the other regulars in my group saw the Gaim ships and were hooked.
We’ve only played a couple of games with them though as while they can be fun enough to play with none of our player group liked playing against them and to be honest neither of us wanted to play against them...
G'Vrahn is hard but comparable to other strong war ships.
Sadly as has been pointed out the Bin Tak is no where near as good.
Due to service dates i don't mind that too much, except the e-mines being 1 shot.
Just that 1 change would make the bin'tak a much more worthy choice.
That said I've say...
Byron. Easily the worst. From the speeches the hair, the gushing the inexplicable switch from pasifist to nutter from the revelation that the vorlon's made telepaths. He alone is the reason that I didn't buy season 5. Upon borrowing a friends copy I realised that he was bad enough to taint what...
Londo, G'Kar, Marcus, Vir, Morden and Bester oh and Eileson from Crusade.
Favourite line probably the one already mentioned about G'kar's "I'm Here" to Lando when trappedin the elevator.
I also really liked Londo's telling of the joke.
"How many Centauri does it take to change a lightbulb...
If I find a small scale scenario in the pack I'll give it a go ; )
That said I'm pretty comfortable about most of those assesments.
Most of them seemed pretty balanced except the Valerius which has just a little too much firepower in it's batteries compared to any other similar ships (such as...
I still really like the idea of making a ships basic number of repair rolls based on its crew. ie every 25 crew (rounding up) is an repair roll you can make at the end of the turn as standard. so a ship with 70 crew can make 3 repair rolls in the end phase.
You'd probably do it as only 1 roll...
Ok played through scenario 3.
Well not all the through scenario 3. The first turn took us four and a half hours.
The sheer scale of it a little daunting, that said it was a lot of fun and it makes sense as it does effectively represent Earth forces last stand (although based on what you see in...
No opposed crew quality tests if you are ramming a ship reduced to 0 speed or drifting.
So any ship that has no control over it's own movement doesn't get a crew quality check to avoid being rammed. Attacking ship still needs to pass the initial QC check as standard though.
Take your point but it's work better if they could have a achievable goal or be a little balanced. I was the Centauri player and I thought it too heavily tilted in my favour to give the other guy much of chance. and as the game ended on turn 1 with him having 1 ship left and not all of mine...
Soul Hunter, Chronos Varients (especially the escort) or G'Kar although the last one is because I find the g'quann's a bit useless now and want a Narn battle ship.
Have played through the first couple of scenario's now and both were a total white wash.
Due to the speed of the transports the first scenario is pretty much impossible for the brakiri to win
In the second mission the Earth Force player was left with 1 undamaged Warlock at the end of turn 1...
