Absolutely. It's beautiful, accurate and it works!!!
I just wish we could have some more info on some of the "unexplored" areas. 25 years... and waiting!!!
I'll second that, Writing Wolf :D .
How about it, Mongoose? Any chance of having downloadable copies of the maps in all their majestic glory? (please????)
:)
The copy I've got has the misprinted version of the map (the one where roads have become rivers, etc.) Ironically, my version of Book 1 (which I recieved first) has the corrected map!!!
But does the reprinting of Book 2 have the fixed map?
Also, has the map for Book 5 been fixed? Check out the spellings and incorrect place names. Minor quibbles, I know - but I love the maps (and it was the beautiful, vivid and detailed world that first drew my ten year old self into the world...
Yeah, a good read - and great to learn more details about an area of Magnamund that was relatively unkown. :D Looking forward to the next part. Will we be moving into other areas of Southern Magnamund?
Just finished it! Most fun I've had reading a book in ages - well done, Richard Ford! It's great to be back in Magnamund and visit places both old and new (with a couple of neat cameos). Can't wait for part 2. Gonna read Glory & Greed now... :D
I know! The covers where in place for Glory and Greed and the Dragons of Lenica and we were told they were ready to go. If they've been delayed again, please just give us an indication of when to expect them. If they've been postponed indefinitely, please just let us know! :(
The first 2 series with Michael Praed still stand up today.
The series with Jason Connery had its moments (particularly early on) but fizzled out near end.
