Great :) I think I'm all set! Any suggestions for a first order of some German & US ships that would produce small, but fun battles? I gotta say, any game system that has a useful and friendly forum immediately gets massive points in my books, I appreciate all the help!

Cool, thanks a lot guys! Are the counters that come with the rulebook on some kind of card stock? Or are they actually in the rulebook and need photo copying? Sorry for all the questions, I just hate to place a big order and realize I can't get started yet :P

It's our long work week, and short vacation :( I don't really mind taking my time to build up with GHQ minis. Plus, the book comes with ship markers right? So in theory I could use those until I've painted up my fleet.

But do a lot of people in the US play at 1:2400? I gotta say the GHQ minis look fantastic.

Well, spread out over time that isn't too hard on the wallet at all. I don't fully grasp the priority level stuff yet (I understand it basically replaces points, and get the general concept) but I assume we can get started with just 2 or 3 cruisers or so per side? I'll probably order 1...
