I know it is sorta against the spirit of Traveller but my group likes the idea of the system but does not like the random nature of making characters.
Have any rules come out for non-random character generation for the New Traveller (MgT2)? In the first edition there were rules for point buy...
Here is another suggestion that might cause the graphics guys to kill you: Put the pages in landscape orientation instead of portrait. The reason: PDFs are viewed on screens and most people use 16:9 screens.
I would be interested in GMing one or more sessions. However, I GM a different game on Saturdays but could do Friday or Sunday with no problems. 1900 GMT+1 is 2PM EDT.
I personally prefer to use Skype for voice and Roll20 for rolls and character sheets. Roll20 has a good MGT character sheet...
Some people (like myself) dont give a rat's ass about cannon. I bought MGT because of the core systems and the feel of the game. One of the reasons I love the MGT books because there is very little cannon in them.
I hope they are released at the same time as well. It sucked getting into D&D 5e...
Except for D&D 5e the Monster Manual was released a month after the PHB and the DMG was released four months after the PHB.
Star ships in Traveller (for me at least) are just as important as the characters themselves. I really hope High Guard is released at the same time as the core book...
That is fine in principle but from my understanding the core rulebook will be released first and then High Guard will not be released until a few months later. Ships are such a core part of Traveller that not having the rules for building them right off the bat seems like I would be getting half...
Oh man, I really hope they add commas in later versions. I just cannot read numbers over 1,000 without commas very easily. I always have to count the zeros where as with commas I can just glance at it.
