I don't agree with rook111. I don't think adding another feat would muddy things at all. Wrestling/grappling is a very specialized form of combat so there should be a set of skills to represent this.
A properly applied choke hold could subdue as well as kill, so a feat to represent this should...
Make choking a feat. A good wrestler will know several choke maneuvers, while someone that is untrained could probably only choke someone by luck.

Hmm...
Characters should really develop constantly. When you want to get really good at something you practice at it. So why not have development points on those levels without special gains.
The level 5 soldier decides to practice at a skill releated to their class, this gives them a +1/2...
At first level I will allow PCs to roll any hit point roll that is less than 50% of the max, and at 2nd if it is less than 25% of the max.

The way I see it, unless you plan on involving Conan and is adventures into your games, it really doesn't matter about a timeline. Just pick a date and go from there.
Why not be direct about it?
Have the caravan hiding an overwhelming force of royal guard waiting to capture any brigands such as your party. This was the king's plan all along. It also avoids any messy distribution of wealth to your party. Remember a poor PC is an adventurous PC.

I finally got a copy of Scrolls of Skelos (woohoo!), and have been reading it through. I noticed the little section in the Frost Giant description that talks about frost giant characters. ?? Do they really mean for players to be able to play frost giants, or are they referring to npcs? A frost...
I'm with S'Mon and Hyena, I like direct and simple. I would have a neighbouring Temple learn of the desecration and then send an assassin to deal with the infidel. A knife, or arrow covered in spider venom will certainly make the character think twice before repeating such actions. The character...
Isles of Antillia (sp?) from Conan of the Isles and possibly the continent of Mayapan. But that does not mean that there are no other islands in the western ocean. Your island could be a very isolated island like St. Helena.

I have often gone back and reread my SSoC comics, and after two issues of Dark Horse's Conan, I must say I think it is a worthy successor to SSoC. If only it was as long as SSoC was...

The DM should use their discretion on the use of FP to be LFD. In your example Yuan-Ti, I would not allow the player to use the FP here. Any character dumb enough to wear heavy armour on a heaving deck, does not deserve to live.
That said, I would handle it differently, I would tell the player...
The thing about Conan in general is that there was always a life and death feel to it. Even at the height of his power Conan took every battle seriously. That is the feeling I get with the lower level games, combat should be DANGEROUS, even at high levels and even if your foe is of a lesser...
