    Anyone used Mapforge software?

I was a kickstarter backer for the full Monty, but cannot recommend it to you. It launched with a lot of bugs and memory issues, especially when loaded up with map packs. On the plus side it has seen regular updates and bug fixes but remains painfully slow on my high end Mac and the number of...

    Mindjammer Traveller released Jan 11

I rate this setting highly and am so glad it came to Traveller. I feel it's the breath of fresh air Traveller gas needed for a while. I already had fate based version and although I don't like the Fate system but found the setting intriguing and an endless source of ideas. The production values...

    Northstar Ringworld

Maybe I'm missing something but it describes a ring of worldets not a "ringworld". It even describes it as an asteroid belt in the wiki. As Nathan mentions in canon the only ring world I believe still existent is the partial one in Hiver space, Lingkot I believe it is.

    Fuel Bubbles

The first thing to remember is make the initial jump using the reserve fuel then rely on your internal tankage. That way the processing connections can be established planet-side without dangerous space walking and afterwards disposable tanks can be jettisoned or reusable tanks recovered on...

    RPG Suite

I had the same confusion over passwords and user name but figured it out just before a very rapid response from the support email, so give them a chance if you're struggling. I use a high end iMac and both programs load up in just seconds, I suspect the 32 bit users or low graphic cards are...

Visual size reference: 1dt and 4dt and average human

Sorry but I was thinking the comparison looks odd; I think there may be a math error , 12ft does not equates to 7.3m I fear. :)

    vandeet's character possession generator

Produces an interesting blend of quirky results, ended up with 7 grenades and two silencers.......hmmm silent grenades. All the same thanks for your efforts

2300AD Tools For Frontier Living - Thalassa

I pre-ordered this and the French Arm adventures over 14 months ago and still waiting for the hard copies. I got impatient and got the electronic versions. I just hope the delays are to improve the rather disappointing art.

    Fanzheinz (FASA) Deckplan

Thanks for the response. I think the furniture size improbably I my perception. You're right on the dimensions, jut looks like no leg room around the furniture. The six positions make sense now, although I imagine a free trader with a six man crew won't make much money. I would have suggested...

    Fanzheinz (FASA) Deckplan

Really good work and a nice change from the usual Type A's. A few questions though 1. If the squares represent 1.5m all the furnishings appear very small. 2. Why six crew stations on the bridge? 3. Ships Lockers are enormous? 4. Both air locks open onto the same space and its also the...

2300AD: Tools For Frontier Living. The Art.

Sorry Colin, I wasn't disappointed with the writing just the artwork. Unfortunately I won't be buying the print version of this one because of that art. I have always bought both versions of everything so far but I a drawing a line here.

2300AD: Tools For Frontier Living. The Art.

Once again the mongoose art department have shot themselves in the foot! I cannot understand how half the book has fair art and the other half is terrible. Were they designed in a vacuum? Surely consistent art across a line is a desirable trait and this day and age while lamenting the state of...
