Order (the players) vs Chaos.
Chaos has found a way to blow up planes. Destroy enough key planes and the multiverse is destroyed. The players have to find out who is doing it and how and then stop them.
We are about half way through now. It is cetainly to hardest of the 3 books to hold things together but so far it is enjoyable. The biggest issue I'm getting it there is a whole group high level parties all together trying to stop the destruction of the multiverse and it is very hard to give the...
We are up to almost the same point now. (logs at http://www.shokaster.com/roundrobin/viewforum.php?f=23)
I'm going to get them to retrieve the artifacts first. Hopefully that will give a better story flow.
I haven't got that far but why not take the approach that whilst they could go straight ahead and skip these chapters, the Drow are also looking for these artifacts in order to use them in part of their plans? Therefore the party needs to located them to keep them safe and from being used as a...
Definately if a paladin is involved in killing then he should have an atonement. Maybe run the interrogations on the players individually and see what they come up with as why they did it. Find out which one was the killer and apply the death penality. Perhaps have the crime lords break him out...
Mine spent a couple of days scouting, decided it was too difficult and talked to one of the crime lords. They ended up with a give everything you have and we will steal it for you.
Yes they got a castle but that was book one. BigSteve was asking about book 2.

With wind walk you can travel at 60mph. Even assuming they are spotted it is easy to outrun anything at that speed. So with find the path plus wind walk it is easy to get to your destination without having any encounters on the way.
Yes armour class of the drow in the mines was definately an issue. Power attack plus the fact the sig weapons have elf bane and evil bane on them and they don't last long at all. The lack of magic items and decent equipment on a 10th level opponent is probably the main factor.
I think I'm...
I've made the signature weapons artifacts that can't be destroyed. They can take damage but they regenerate over time.
Other magic items are as per the standard rules for HP and damage.
