Mysteries of the Ancients 11/12/2024 version

And 2 months later STILL won't tell us the Mystery of the Update. C'mon @MongooseMatt is it really that hard to share the crib sheet that was used to create the update? On another note, do the updated PDFs appear on Bits & Mortar? As someone who supports my FLGS and appreciates the PDFs that...

Mysteries of the Ancients 11/12/2024 version

The fact that they can't/won't tell us what changed (changelog anyone?) is........annoying/frustrating. And if there's no list to make pen & ink changes in the book, then I kinda have to ask what's the point? Book customers pay more, but get less in the long run.

    Tools for 3D star maps?

Geir, yes. One would have to format appropriately, but there are some files on the NBOS Exchange that have real and sci-fi data that can be imported and modified. A good example of merging a 2d6 system with Astrosynthesis is...

The Complete History of Traveller - Now Shipping!

I read "couldn't" and just see "didn't want to bother"

    Mysteries of the Ancients

Is Mongoose consolidating and showing errata somewhere? Or is this basically the only place to find any?

    Mysteries of the Ancients

Page 174: one would wonder how anyone might deduce (let alone correctly) that Master Starfarer Aedhko Ueang is Vargr. The art and stats on p. 180 would directly contradict any deduction of that sort. And the lack of any comments or corrections tells me that Mongoose are not interested in quality...

    Zhodani Special Naval Landing Force

Here's a thought: Instead of taking things from the web and reprinting and recharging for it (regardless of whether it's canon or Fanon) how about just writing new original material and leaving what's already around alone.

    Marc Miller's Traveller (T4)

This had my attention for a moment until I realized that this is actually a PDF, not an ebook. Still good for those who don't have this stuff in their library. It would be nice if there were actual ebooks. PDFs serve a purpose, but so does flowing text when reading.

    Travellers Needed! Traveller's 50th

What I'd like to see? A party, maybe several. Conventions, people playing the game. It's all nice to get new stuff to read, but even us old grognards prolly haven't played everything. In person, virtual, parties at Origins and Gencon (maybe Garycon) among others (and that's just in the US). I'd...

    Traveller and AudioRPG

Agreed (see above). Unusable and nothing like the "samples". Not responding or acknowledging the issue is the death knell for backing any future endeavors from those folks.

    Questions for Mongoose

@MongooseMatt bump. Still looking for a fillable PDF for Traveller CRB 2022 character sheet.

    Traveller 3rd Party Licensing

FWIW, one could take the published PDFs and create the content for the VTT for their own use. It's what I did before the pandemic when VTT was only for those of us who live in the boonies. But yeah, as an extension of the original content, it's something that needs addressing.

    Traveller 3rd Party Licensing

Well, a little more digging and I think I answered my question. I thought that the link that was in the information above was to the complete agreement for TAS. It's not, it's just the Mongoose Traveller part. One has to go back up the links to find the whole agreement which is really governed...

    Traveller 3rd Party Licensing

Yeah, I asked what I thought was a yes/no question and the answer starts with "in theory" and doesn't give an answer to my question. Referring me to a program that I can't even view along with not getting a straight answer to my original question doesn't give me a warm fuzzy about any of it.

    Traveller 3rd Party Licensing

@MongooseMatt , I'm not sure it does, but then it could be me. Either you can use anything I publish in the TAS programme without my permission or you can. I'm not a lawyer, just someone who'd like to publish. The current system seems to have provisions for the use of your IP, but I'm still not...
