ACTA: SF - Unoffocial Rules ideas for Personalities

Maybe like a Lone Wolf captain who gets bonuses if there are no friendly ships within X inches.

    Carriers

I've always kinda liked the (federation) fighter designs in SFB. They do a good job of looking kinda like fed shuttles. And I find them being named after 20th century aeroplanes kinda charming. This one is, I believe, a B-52.

    'New' Ship ideas

It would seem they are also 'Entertaining Ideas' for feddie saucers:- http://www.starfleetgames.com/discus/messages/27411/30058.html?1331602399 So have at it people! Really like the Hammerhead design.

    Starline 2500 Klingon D17 -- Exploratory concept

Honestly not keen on it. But no ones strike rate is perfect. Keep trying!

    Starline 2500 Lyran Light Cruiser

I've always found the Enterprise, and hence all derived ships, to be a very pleasing size. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acGuyhd7rQE (okay, so those are particuarly tall men standing on the Ent, but you get the idea) Big enough to be big, but small enough to... I dunno. Feel like a real...

    Klingon Tactics

To be honest I think that is probably another sacred cow that needs slaying. If you have to keep explaining it...

    'New' Ship ideas

I wonder if, to amplify someones comments on extra components, you could do something like produce kits of different saucers, engineering sections, warp nacelles and connecting components that would allow you to assemble ships in a wide variety of configurations. Kinda like Star Trek Online...

    Trading weapons systems

Oh I don't know. The sail driven Royal Navy captured a lot of ships and pressed them in to service. Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ships_of_the_line_of_the_Royal_Navy For instance, the 1755-1785 list of captured foreign vessels in the Royal Navy is Alcide 64 (1743...

    ACTA SF Ship appearance discussion

Speaking of meaningless clutter... :-) I dunno. I like the Original Series aesthetic. It is a really good look. These are classic starship designs. And the remastered episodes of Star Trek look great. The colours are so vivid. So, like, lets have a sixties revival!

    whats the deal with mongoose

True, but like I say the resin ships debacle and (IIRC) the abortive move to in house print on demand show that leaping head first at the new is not always a good idea. At least for Mongoose.
