    Mini Fed & Empire

Running it past ADB first is a good idea. If you have some new or interesting concepts that could be fleshed into a new game system, ADB would credit and compensate you. If you post it first, then it's out there for free and they wouldn't use it.

    Klingon Warp Nacelle alignment

That front view of the C8 is an early render. It was later changed to angle the engines inward (as seen in the other shots). No other front-view render was ever made available.

Klingon C5 Light Raiding Dreadnaught Pics up

The light raiding dreadnoughts (Fed DNL, Klingon C-5, Romulan Shrike, etc.) were the largest of the pre-General War flirtation with "fast raiders". They use normal dreadnought engines on hulls that have been modified to streamline their warp bubble and had mass removed (and sacrifice some heavy...

    Federation Transfer/Decals Sheet

Tony and I are just waiting for the arrival of our CB, DNL, and BB minis (we order through ADB). Tony just got his but mine seem to have taken the slow UPS truck and won't be with me until next Thursday. I do all the layout work for our Federation decals (so-far). The art for the CB will take...

New for Federation - the Big Ships...

Some additions to scoutdad's epic detailed post - My understanding of ADB's polcies regarding their copyrights on their creations is that the Star Fleet Universe setting and designs needs to be consistent, regardless of where it is depicted. If I recall correctly (and Jean from ADB can correct...

    Decal?

The 2500 series are indeed 1/3125 scale. The 2500 in the Starline 2500 name has nothing to do with the scale, it's because the older 1/3788-scale product line was Starline 2400 (and the two before that were 2300 and 2200).

Where are all the pics of painted minis? SF

You took the easy path and just married a gamer. I've spent the last 15 years slowly converting my wife into one. :P

    Modelling scouts - ACTASF

A bit of fluff that might help. Years-in, it was decided that in the SFU the sensor dish on ships is not a parabolic signal "collection" dish (as in the modern day) but rather is a wave-guide type structure for subspace energy being transmitted out. There are other ways to do it (conformal...

Difference between CS, CA and BCH...

    Maybe this will help.

First picture of the Federation Battleship

Just a note to any SFB grognards who pass by, the "balconies" adjacent to the shuttlebay were an error in my project proposal drawings and have already been noted as such on the ADB bbs reporting thread.

Armour and hull values in ACtA:SF

Gary - I normally stay out of gameplay and tactics discussions. However... I think it sends the wrong message to the larger community (and folks new to the SFU setting, in particular) to be making game-mechanic comments/criticisms about ACTA, before you have even read the rulebook, let alone...

    ST 2500 Custom Decals

We plan to have a set for the CC available (we'll treat it like we do the sheets for the individual blister pack ships). It won't be offered until we get a chance to put calipers onto the mini itself - my CC is in limbo with the fleet boxes but we have an alternate plan to get the dimensions we...

    ST 2500 Custom Decals

Just to be crystal-clear, the product that Tony and I produce are water-slide decals, not dry-rub transfers. Woe be to the modeler that tries to burnish down one of our decals, or tries to dunk a dry transfer marking in water. Also to clarify the above, the Federation Squadron Box decal set...

    ACTA - SF Errata

Regarding some of the names that have become distasteful in the decades since they were picked; ADB is pretty good about letting fiction writers "take care" of ships like that. The War Destroyer Saddam was used in a "supporting" role in a Captain's Log fiction story ("The Battle for Rimworld"...

LICENSING RESTRICTIONS (Formerly 'The Thing' discussion)

My understanding (based on previous submittals) is that ADB is awash in 25 years worth of b&w starship art and any new starship art is pretty well locked-in by Adam Turner and Ted Geibel (done in 3D computer modeling software). What I do know is that ADB is actively seeking character art...
