    For history buffs

Some inter-war photos of USS Arizona and USS Nevada show a large dial affixed to the forward mast. It is numbered like an analog clock face, but only from 1 to 10. See the crew photo at Arizona's Wikipedia entry for a good view of it...

    Scout planes

Some interesting detail on cruiser-launched scout planes, from the memoirs of a US pilot: http://www.users.bigpond.com/pacificwar/Midway/RalphWilhelm/RalphWilhelmatMidway.html

    Confused about errata

Is the AD change for Le Fantasque meant to apply to Secondary Armament, Anti-Air, or both?

    OOB availability?

I just received notice from Amazon that OOB is not available from any of their sources. They have cancelled my order. :(

    OOB availability?

Is OOB out of print, or otherwise scarce? I ordered a copy through Amazon months ago, and the delivery date keeps getting pushed back.

Can you fix the spelling of "Britain" too?

    Turning Example

Thanks, BuShips! If my OOB ever arrives (via Amazon), I'll be sure to use it.

    Turning Example

Very nice, but a little "busy". I'd like to see one without the instructions printed right on it; after all, once you've seen the example you've got the idea. Also, the VAS logo is a bit garish in this setting. The essential title and copyright info, printed in the center where it doesn't...

    Training Movie

For those of us who can't make it to the Boston area: what was the explanation for the helmet error?

    Engine hits too common?

I understand what's being modelled, and I have indeed read many battle accounts. Bismarck, for example, continued to move for some time after her guns were out of action. That is very unlikely to happen in a VAS game, using the current hit distributions. Thanks for the reply, though.

    Engine hits too common?

Am I alone in thinking that the Critical Hit probabilities favour the Engines category rather too strongly? As written, nearly half (44%) of all critical hits will fall in that area, which would seem to be generally well protected within the ship. I'm inclined to assign rolls of 3-6 to Crew...

    Ship Viewer goes wiki

I've been using the Ship Viewer quite often, and I think it's a great resource. However, I'm not keen on having to cross-check for changes made by others. I'd prefer that you keep a "locked" version available.
