A New Mega-City One (Opinions Wanted)

My advice. Don't get back into miniatures. We've all seen where that has lead in the past. I have a pile of SST and BF Evo miniatures to prove it.

Have SST -- Want BF Evo Modern

I have a large number of SST minis both painted and unpainted. I would like to trade them for BF Evo Modern minis. I'm interested in EFTF, USMC or MEA. If you're interested please contact me at k.portner@verizon.net (I"m in the USA). Thanks.

Are there any new Rules in the New Rules?

I bought the original BF Evo Modern rules. I bought the World at War Rules. Are there any new rules in the BF Evo Modern 2nd Edition (or whatever it's called)? I don't mean new unit profiles, I mean new rules. Thank you.

Question Re British (and others?) MMG & Mortar Crews

The British 3" mortar unit has 3 models, one with mortar, two with Lee-Enfield. The Vickers MMG has 3 figures, one with Vickers MMG, two with Lee-Enfield Rifles. Can the figures with the rifles shoot at the same time the mortar/MMG are shooting? Or do the rifles have to assist in firing the...

    One more Tank Assault Question

I believe the rules say "each member of the unit" has explosives/grenades, so I assume this means that every model that gets within 1" of a tank can attack it (at the end of the attacker's next turn) with a D10. Is that right?

Tank Assault rule encourages suicide bombing?

@ Agis, Ok, but what is the purpose of the delay? I mean is it simulating something? A game design decision? If the latter, what's the thinking behind it? Thanks.

Tank Assault rule encourages suicide bombing?

Since the explosives don't go off until the charging unit's next turn, doesn't this encourage the vehicle to drive up to the enemy so that it can catch them in its lethal zone? What is the thinking behind delaying the detonation until the following turn?

    Spotting targets

I'm not sure this is correct. IIRC, the rules say that you can only be spotted at one of those firing points if you've used it to fire out (and when you have you remain spotted for one full turn after). But if you're just standing at that fire point and not using it to shoot you can't be...

    Question Suppression and "Allocated" dice

Yes, but now you're keeping track of which side of a building is suppressed? To each his own, of course, but I'd just as soon either play the rules as is, or draw the line elsewhere. For example, if half or more of the unit is in the fire zone the entire unit can be suppressed if enough...

    Spotting targets

I guess I don't read the rules that way. Does it say that you have to take a move or ready action to fire out a window/door? I don't think so. And even if you did, the enemy would only be able to react if they were within 10". So I don't see the problem. If you want to include the...

    Question Suppression and "Allocated" dice

Too complicated/difficult to keep track of.

    Question Suppression and "Allocated" dice

Ok. In your prior post you wrote that the "attacked" chooses. I guess this was a mistype (i.e .you meant to type attacker).

    Spotting targets

I see. One thing to consider is that if units are in buildings they can't be targeted unless they are using windows/doors to fire out of. This sort of produces the same effect. Of course it doesn't allow units to be "hidden" in woods or foxholes, etc.

    Spotting targets

Are you talking about for artillery fire or for any shooting? Can yo uexplain further why you find it necessary?
