Age of Dreadnoughts shore batteries question

Just wondering about the best way to design balanced shore batteries for the bombardment scenario, and for general game use. The brief for the bombardment scenario in particular doesn't really help much at all in regard to how big the three batteries should be, or how they should be composed...

Usefull resource for finding Ship and Plane Miniatures.

Fair enough. It wasn't 100% serious, but I'll get rid of the rant part of the post anyway. What might be more constructive are these tokens I came across on the WTJ site. http://www.wtj.com/games/battlefleet_1900/ship_sheet_brit.gif...

Usefull resource for finding Ship and Plane Miniatures.

The sites like panzerschiffe, and the others that show pics of their ships must do that much better than the blind buy sites.

    Arc of fire templates

We had our first games of Age of Dreadnoughts the other day, and really enjoyed it. One thing we did notice was that it was kind of a pain to work out arcs of fire while juggling ruler and template. My friend had the idea of some sort of template on legs that could just stand over a mini...

Concerning the Age of Dreadnoughts errata

I picked up Age of Dreadnoughts and Far Flungs Seas yesterday, but I havn't had a chance to give them a good read through yet. WW1 and predread naval warfare are what I find interesting, so these two should keep me busy for a while. Between the fleet lists in both books I should be able to put...

    PDFs?

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but I was going to grab a pdf copy of Age of Dreadnoughts and I don't seem to be able to find the option anywhere. Has mongoose stopped selling pdfs, or is my search-fu at a low ebb right now.

Concerning the Age of Dreadnoughts errata

Cheers Dude I'm looking forward to that expansion, but what's in the main book should keep us occupied for the time being.

Concerning the Age of Dreadnoughts errata

I'm thinking of taking the plunge back into a mongoose system with AOD, (I used to play a lot of B5 ACTA back in the day) and I have just one question before I splash out and get the PDF. When you buy the pdf are all the corrections listed in the errata corrected, or will I need to print out a...

    Poor Miniature Quality Control

Ahhh. Posts like this take me back to the good old days of B5acta, and those glorious moments of "how the heck am I going to deflash/fill/put together this". My octurian battleship still rates as one of the happiest "thank the gods it did sort of go together" moments, I've had in all my time...

    Dredd movie trailer

I've been a Dredd fan for years, but I kind of like the realistic, non cartoony take on things this movie looks to have. As long as Dredd doesn'tTake his helmet off barely five minutes into the movie I think I'm going to like this one.

    What Have You Painted Today??

I havn't posted here in ages, mainly because I havn't painted a mongoose mini since my last B5 acta ship. But these guys are such a blast from the past that they are worth a post. My gaming group got into dystopian wars last year, because we thought that the land side of the game would have...

    1904-1905 Japanese Russian war

NHK (the Japanese State tv station) has just finished a drama called Saka No Ue No Kumo. The last five episodes featured the 04-05 war quite heavily, including a decent depiction of Tsushima in the last episode. http://www9.nhk.or.jp/sakanoue/specials/making07/...
