ooo and an added bonus for using the foundry judges is that same sculptor did the Heroclix judge dredd so there is a plentiful supply of cheap plastic judges out there for conversions or just bulking out your force....

re Foundry: most of the Mongoose figures are quite compatible, others look a little on the small side... all of my judges are Foundry figures following some lucky breaks on eBay, but are about 32mm to be honest... I use the ape gang which doesn't matter size wise, human gang and citidef are from...

up to you really.... in the comic, they were dark blue unless it was Ezquerra's artwork in which case they did actually appear black in colour, similarly, the shoulder pads and badge could be gold or yellow if you wanted... the difference is really down to the limitation of producing black and...

although - as we're on the topic of blocks..... I really have no idea what colour to paint them.... grey seems so usual.... I'm toying with off white like a recent article I saw on doing wraithbones (GW boo hiss yeah I know)... dunno though....

I actually considered a similar thing, but then you are losing X amount of gaming space.... obviously that's a consideration with buildings as well, but as they are 3D, they help block line of sight and can add additional levels/heights to fight from... I dropped it after I worked on the plans...

rather sadly, my building of scenery has overtaken me and I've not finished my gang yet.... or painted much of the scenery either I have a tower that's 20 inches tall which connects with walkways to my corner block.... that is still in progress, but should be somewhere around 30-40 inches...

my copy of Origins arrive today.... great story - pity it didn't cover the Battle of Armageddon - that's a scenario and a half though - any ideas for the Judges of 2066? plenty of near future US army types about. although those who are reading 2000ad regularly may help here - I'm assuming...

I want to run a theme of the quilted shoulder pads from the gang sprue through my gang, but have used the four that came with the sprues and don't really want to buy more sprues for just the single item... does anyone have any of them that they would be willing to swap for... well pretty much...

did happen in a very early one, he had to take his helmet off as his visor was blocked with instant plastic or something - I remember reading that the plan had been that Dredd was supposed to be horrifically scarred by fire or something, but the art was pretty poor and didn't convey the horror...

yay! my copy of Dredd Vs Aliens arrived today - damn good read - Flints art is superb - I have to see more of his stuff and the action scenes just go on for pages, the initial contact in the warehouse is great stuff. a real classic story and not just a cross over for the sake of it. and...

now that is odd as the Star Born Thing was during McGruder's first period in office.... so that story predates the original - ahhh paradoxical things....

it occured to me this morning, that Dredd already did it's own Aliens thing with the Star Born Thing.... did we ever revisit Dredds Baby in a later story or is it still sitting in a plasteel box in the Grand Hall of Justice somewhere.....?
