I commend your efforts in this, but you really really REALLY should also use this as an opportunity to add real dates of the updates to all of the pdfs. YYYYMMDD at the front of EVERY pdf, and in the filename of EVERY file. Stop ignoring everyone suggesting this. It is in your interest Mongoose!

Or they could just put the date of the last update on one of the first pages, which is frankly what should have been done for years now. Keep it simple.

I appreciate your detailed reply Matt. It's not just the overall quality though, which you do appear to be taking seriously. It's how errors that were previously corrected in one edition some how creep back into a newer edition. That suggests very poor product lifecycle & data management.

I went through my book with a Sharpie to make the corrections. It was painful at first, but I'd much rather have ugly and correct than unknowingly incorrect. Is also how I updated my Referee Screen to reflect CRB 2022.

What Geir said. The US is crazy and uses mm-dd-yy. That's not what said. But neither that nor the usual dd-mm-yy is desirable for file names.

Mongoose really needs to learn to name files correctly. Always ALWAYS include the full date as a _sortable_ and immediately recognisable versioning yyyymmdd-name_of_file.extension
