Cosmic Mongoose
In the current climate, i thought I should see if we can all bring our greatest moment to the fore, share them with others, be it the most impossible crit rolling of your life, the 34 consecutive dodgers on the raider that won't die, or the luckiets piece of jammy fore and aft boresighting ever!

I will start. It was a large participation game, the Earth civil war, well over 100 ships on the table, and the fleets broken down to face off players.
I lined up with my Sheridan supporting Brakiri fleet, Tashkat, Takata, couple of Kaliva's and some Ikortas, facing me were a selection of Tethys cutters, Omega's, novas, and a warlock way out on the flank. I wasn't confident, my lack of beams had me worried about EA interceptors.
Turn 1 with it's high speed, the tashkat manages to get an omega in range of it's beam, and Concentrates all firepower. but it's a slow loading beam, and I'm worried that the tashkat has the attention of a Warlock and 2 omegas. But, having won initiative, I decided to open the firing with the tashkat, hoping to knock a weapon offline. . . 8 dice Caffed. . . leading to about 16 hits in total. including a well timed 6-5 crit. The Omega was blown out of space long before I finished rolling.
1 Shot, 1 kill. . . excelent opening to a fab battle. the EA never recovered, and the Warlock veered off to attack other EA ships instead!

As far as lucky boresights go, this has to be among the top. The Ka'Toc passed stealth checks on both my Nials, split its boresight beam 1AD each getting about 3 or 4 hits on each, and both failed their dodges!

As for my best moment well it has to be the large game we played at Tank's house, first my Torotha Suicide Team caused a lot of damage and disruption by exploding near the enemy. Then my Tinashi finished off a Shadow Ship, an Octurian and a big fat Dilgar warship (after Reaverman and Tank damaged them heavily...)

Lucky flash missile from a warlock, devestated a Gquan in a storm of high crits.

Im am so gettign some apollos...

Well I did once fire a Victory Class Destroyer at a Jashakar scout..... That was highly entertaining  (id already more or less won the game, but decided to finish in style :P)

EAS Captain John Yossarian, USAAF, Tourney Warlock, making a damage control check to remove a 4-6 crit, managing to Come About, locking on to and exterminating an undamaged Bimith with the main gun, shredding a lightly damaged one with everything else, and taking out a Milani with a 6-6 crit from the blast.

I have just (last weekend) had an Abbai Bimith survive a full salvo of CaF! fire from a Sharlin, including a 6-6 crit, and shoot back, being the only ship in the fleet that's beat the Sharlin's Stealth...

Given that this was during playtesting, it was a bit annoying as it's screwed up the expected results curve no end...

I already posted, but fere it goes:

Two weeks ago, in my first "official" game (first I played in a campaign), the class Var´nic ship named (since then) "Fortune" single-handedly fought a pre-arma Shadow ship and hold it for 5 turns while the support ships were coming.
Two times the shadow ship failed completely to hit, and the rest not a critical...
In the fifth turn, perhaps the last I could fire cos the "Fortune" had been damaged, the shadow ship had still 35 damage remaining. As I had "closed blast doors and activated defense grid" I could only fire with one weapon... well, the ship managed to make exactly 36 damage...

Well, I come to think this game is great!

There is sooo many to choose from..........

First game with my chosen Narn. Dag'Kar managed a 3-6 crit on the enemy VCD. 2 Rongoths and 1 Ka'Toc finished the boarding action. My Narn admiral owns a VCD from then on, to be bought at some point.

3 tried shots the Laser cannon from 3 G'Quans during the whole game agains a Minbari fleet (damn stealth). A single hit, resulted in a 6-6 critical and nearly gutted a Sharlin, sealing the game. Talk about screwing the probablity curve.

Multiple games. A single damage die from a Twin Particle Array or Pilse cannon salvo manages to survive the interceptor salvo. It was only for draining them anyway. Uhhh a crit!!!!

G'Quan opens the first shot in a game against EA. Sheridans Omega goes boom. Thank you ship breakers.

A Bin'Tak and a G'Quan both manage a COme about roll, for a near full 90° to boresight the last two enemy ships. Both ships and up parallel to each other. After having two totally different paths for the game.....(the 2 big captains going for a parade formation for the end fo the game)#

Single Prefect send against an Apollo. Full of hope i roll my dice. 6-6 crit from Matter cannon, Apollo explodes and kills escorting Starfuries. Nope not good for statistical analysis but damn good.

At Q-con this year, Managing to get a Drakh Light Raider with a -2 movement crit, a no weapons crit, both crippled and skeleton crewed (but still with it's flight comp online) pass all necessary dice rolls and ram a Minbari ship (can't remember what it was), causing the death of said Minbari ship and knocking out the stealth on a Nearby Morshin, handing me an easy (and only) victory for the day.

i believe it was an 8pt war shadow v centauri one of my shadows had strayed from my flock and now faced an undamaged octurian knowing it was dead i fired it into the octurian we were both shocked when it did 11hits [7 crits] needless to say it exploded its now named suicidal insanity

in a pre-SFOS game, getting a 6-6 crit on some Narn ship with a single hit from an Artemis' Particle beams. the Explosion caught two more ships.

More recently, while playtesting the Earth-minbari war scenario for gaelcon, getting no weapons fire crits on a sharlin and a Tinashi before either could fire that turn.

Would that be Moi, with my Ka'Tocs?

Mine would be when one of my Vorlon Transports destroyed a Hyperion causing a 4-4 crit on the Nova to port and a 6-2 crit on the Saggi to starboard, All in turn 1!

A SFOS Sharlin CAF on my Tertius which had taken the 5+ save. From full health was reduced to about 20 hits 25ish crew, took about 7 cits and they were big ones, returned fire all hit got about 13 hits lots of crits. Crippled & Skelton crewed her from full health. The following turn my Corvan that a Leshath crippled rammed the the Sharlin, got 6 crits and took her out, the Tertius then vaporised the Leshath. Stealth what Stealth.
Made me smile all day.

Lots of great moments...don't know if I can pick a best one, one of the better ones certainly was a recent game with Tank and myself teaming up against Burger (he had twice the FAP).

Tank's EA had spectacularly bad luck through the game, even for him. I think he failed to lock on to the Minbari dozens of times with almost everything whilst my Shadow Scouts were getting a fairly good kicking from the boneheads too from those nasty precise beams...

We were doomed...the Minbari Battle Level Ship was virtually untouched, I had a Scout left on the ropes and Tank had nothing but a crippled, almost dead Nova, a de-weaponed Oracle and a scratched up Artemis.

The Minbari were going to wipe us from the face of the galaxy...then it happened (no they didn't decide Tank was Valen and so surrendered although we did suggest that to Burger ;) ) - it was the moment Tank was BORN for. The moment that explained ALL his bad luck up to that point...he was saving up for this moment.

His Artemis fired at the huge Minbari battleship before it...Stealth PASSED! 2 HITS, 2 CRITS, Location (for both)...6! Severity (for both 6, 5)...one decrewed Battleship later - the evil Shadow/EA alliance claimed total victory over the foolish boneheads...eat that Neroon wannabes, ha!

I remember the first game I´ve ever used a Kaliva with my Brakiri - it was a 4-player game, and one of my opponents was using Minbari. On the first shot in the first turn, I had a Sharlin just in range of my Kaliva, passed my stealth test on a 6, did some nice damage (CAF) and lowered it´s speed with a critical. A few turns and some maneuvring of everyone involved later, I took my second shot at the Sharlin (which hasn´t been damaged since), this time passing stealth on a five, and again doing some evil CAF damage. On the last turn, all that was left of all 4 fleets were my Kaliva and, you guessed it, the Sharlin. I actually managed to win the initiative, and declared that I would make my stealth roll against the 5 - while my die was still rolling, my opponent remembered that I was far away enough to increase stealth to 6+ again - exactly the number of eyes on my die when it stopped rolling! I simply CAFed the Sharlin out of existence...

So, the Sharlin was only shot at three times during that game, each time by my Kaliva, which passed every stealth roll, and just tore the Minbari ship apart... it was fun!

This was back when the original Critical Hit table was still in use. A single Starfury flight flew up to a Sharlin, passed Stealth, rolled a single hit, got a Critical, and then rolled the "Boom, you're dead" Vital Systems crit. I thought my Minbari opponent was going to pass out.

I'll post this for my son.

He wanted to try Shadows, I was Narn. I had the Bin`Tak. He lit me up with his beam and rolled 18 6's after the initial 5 hits, for a total of 23 hits. Out of those 23 hits he caused 12 Criticals. Out of those 12 criticals he had 10 Vital System hits, which resulted in 6 of those being "6". In that one shot he crippled my ship.
