Soulman calling, i put togther stats for all the aliens the other day, and now looking at the laser rifle Vs the plasma rifle to see what the stats should be
As for damage i have ideas of keeping th standed D6 for both, but the laser rifle is a -1 to Armour Save, and the plasma a -1 to kill score, so the laser is better at going though armour and longer range then the standed assault rifle, and the plasma killing you more in one hit, so if i plasma bolt hits a human, then its a 5+ not 6+ for a Kill.
If i move away from BF and more in SSTAG, after you roll to hit, then the plasma is a -1 to wound, and -1 to armour save, so if a grey hits a human xcom soldier with a plasma weapon, he`s wounded on a 3+, instead of 4+, and the armour save of 4+ is now 5+
Standed armour for xcom is 4+, dropping to 3+ for powered armour.
The above rules are based just like BF, but with a ACC score, which is what you need to roll to hit first, then you roll on the standed BF damage/hit table.
The only good news for humans, the greys ACC is 5+, not good shots to start with..!!!
I`m now looking into Fear and terror on the board, and have some good ideas also...
