Spoke to my friend about whether he would be interested in playing EVO with me and didn't even have to sell it to him.

He said yes straight away and is gonna be the brits.

Think I may go MEA but wanted to pose a question to y'all.

If he starts with a tank and one box of infantry for the brits, points wise, how many boxes of MEA would I need to match his points?

Any MEA players out there got any interesting tales? How are you finding them?

Around 7 would be fair. MEA are 80 points a squad and Challenger is 425 and a squad is 160 so that would be 560 - 585 points.

well brits are

infantry box set = 160 points

Tank = 425 points

MEA

inf box set = 95 points

so your bud will have 585 points with a box of each

your need 6 and a bit so boxes of infantry !!!

my advise is wait till wave to for MEA and for wave 1 get a M1A1 and a box of us infantry your have soem equal games then

alternativly go PLA

box of infantry and a tank comes to 540 points and will play quite diferent to both the yanks and brits.

until the MEA get their armour and support gear they're gonna be very hard to build decent armies for on account of them cheaposity of their infantry and technicals. For the time being, my MEA are on the slow burn as I can play around the 1,000 point mark with my EFTF.

PLA or USMC it is then.

I'm curious though, why did every other faction got one set of minis and a vehicle in first wave and MEA got only infantry?

Surely its gonna kinda put people off going for MEA if they're gonna have to buy a ton to have an even game before the next wave xomes out?

the Technicals were initially meant to be in wave 1 as well, but there were production difficulties. In the end they decided to shift them to Wave 2.

Ahhhhh...that would make sense.

I think they'll be an interesting and extremely fun army to play.

Sadly though it looks like I'm gonna have to look at the other options and go with them so me and my bud canget stuck in pronto.

as lorcan said, they were delayed. evan then though its only 150 points per box, so the MEA are definatly for the penny pincher gamers.

once the MEA get a tank or 2 they will def be woth takin as you can match tank for tank with the enemy but totaly rock with infantry.

Whoa...95 pts. for MEA squads? The card I looked at said 70 pts. Which one is correct?

The squad box for the MEA actually contains more models than the default squad size. So the base squad of 6 plus the extra guys in the box would equal around 95 points. There's an option to add more guys to the MEA squad.
