why is Centauri Adira Royal Battleship so pricey

In the good old days of the republic, ALL ships were $50 each!

It is a pretty big model, although a right royal pain to assemble.

That is the long and short of it. I spent a good amount of time drilling holes in it to get it to fit together. Even with a few hours work on it, it is Not Quite Right.

Oh, and it comes with 4 fins that I do not see on any of the pictures of the ship.

It certainly isn't worth the money. It is a complete swine to put together and like the rest of Mongoose's latest designs, and this really pisses me off, if lacks a hole in the ship for a flight stand.

At £30 it is the same price as a reinforcement box set or as the box of ancients. There is no justification for the price in comparrision other than greed. Even greed would be acceptable if the damn thin fitted together properly and was usable without several hours worth of filing, drilling and green stuffing. This will probably be the last ever ACTA model I buy, quite frankly the new designs are not up to scratch either from a looks point of view or as a modler. I am not wasting any more of my money on second rate produce from a companty that is galloping down the same road as games workshop.

only thing i had to do was drill big holes for the pins and holes in the bottom for the base, didnt take that long at all, in fact went together quite well, think i had it sprayed within an hour, although there isnt a need for it to be so big.
