White Stars or White Star Carrier?

I'm due to play a Crusade Era EA fleet pretty soon, which has:

2 Nemesis
1 Marathon
1 Omega (possibly a war level command)
1 Delphi
2 Chronos
3 Apollo

And i'm going to field an ISA fleet of
2 Victories
5 White Stars
1 White Star Carrier
1 Tinashi OR 1 G'Quan

What i wanted to know is what people think of getting another white star carrier, or should i get some more white stars?
And which should i pick: the tinashi or the g'quan. I was thinking the G'quan because of all the EA fighters. Or should i consider a morshin so i have some more fighters, as the white stars hate fighters ill need to get rid of the t-bolts and starfuries pretty quickly?

we aren't using priority levels or points, my friend told me his fleet (all the EA he has) and im building a fleet thats roughly equal to it. As it stands he has one more battle point then me, so if i go for a carrier hell get another battle point, or i can get two more white stars.

Well if you are playing at War; He has 9 War points, and you have about 7 War points. Depending on your experience levels, I'd say the ISA are going to get boned. Especially if he plays those appollos properly, and squadrons them up. I'd suggest playing your White Stars in individual ships, flank, and harry his big ships and use your victories to pick off the weaker EA ships first. If you are really brave, either; Afterburn one VCD into his fleet, tanking damage and disprupting his attack OR if you are close enough use the lightning cannon (though thats a bit too much of a gambit)

so would i be better getting a g'quan, use the emines to get rid of some of his fighters and then close range? The tinashi will probably lose one stealth from the delphi, so that'll be my first target, plus if the tinashi closes range its stealth wont be effective - and ill need to break up his formation. I had thought about one fielding one of my victories, and then after a turn or two have one jump behind his fleet. Or should i get a morshin to deliever extra fighters?

I'd say a G'Quan with Ionic Burst, but also 2 war points as well.

I would remove one of the Victories and add 2 more carriers. For the 2 other war points, add 4 White Star 2s. Instead of the G-quan, I would add 3 Vaarkas or 6 Vaarls.

are ws2s that good? are the carriers better? i'd rather have one victory than 2 ws2s. I forgot to mention that i was thinking of putting sheridan one one of the ships. Can i put him on a victory? it cant go to a higher priority level, so does it cost an extra point? sorry, i havent got my book to hand at the moment.

sorry ive been getting the wsc 2 and gunship muddled up, thought they were the smae thing, thats the problem with using two books, Armageddon doesnt have all isa. I thought the gunship and the wsc 2 were the same thing, and that the stats were different because mgp had changed them slightly. That changes everything now. Do i still use a white star minature to represent a wsc 2?

What is better: two white stars or a white star 2

should i bother with a carrier or just use more wsc 2s?
Im worried about the amount of EA fighters im going to have to deal with. The white stars can outrun them, but a wsc2 cant. Im think about a morshin instead of a g'quan or tinashi. But then what'll i use to break up the EA formation?
All suggestions very gratefully accepted

It's not in the books, though it should have been

It's in the Armageddon FAQ, putting Sheridan on an Armageddon level ship costs an extra Raid point.

ws2s are useful, so i would prob take 1 or . yes use normal WSs for them but obviously tell your opponent.
i would prob go with your g'quan for fighter killing. although with a fleet carrier in your fleet your nials and WS fighters effectively have dogfight +5 whilst the starfuries and t-bolts effectively have +4 and +3 respectively.
with 2 victories plus the WS carrier you will probably outnumber his fighters. and the nemesis is no match for a victory so you have no worries in ship to ship combat either. (in fact one vic could prob take both nemesis).

It should be pretty even in terms of number of fighters. My advice would be to try and tie up his T-bolts and 'Furies with your nials. Then send your White Star fighters on attack runs along the Apollo's if you get chance. Use the Victory's to draw his attention then use the WS's to pick off ships in hit and runs.

I would put Sheriden on a WS-2 and get some skindancing on a +3.

the Whitestar Carriers give you just abouyt another warpoint of whitestar fighters that can totally gank some of those ships before they can get a shot off and I would do mostly for a warpoint: 1 WS2 and 2 regular WS. I would also go for the G'Quan with some Ionic burst and regular ones since he will have plenty of fighters to throw against you. Go with Thunderbolts in the Victorys and let the Nials deal with his fighter coverage. ISA get a nice +1 bonus to crew quality which makes Nials even deadlier in dogfights.

Never underestimate the use of Skindancing and Precise anti-fighter missiles do hurt whitestars but with the 2 victorys and a G'Quan, you will make him think twice. And with the Victroys just claim boresight just to scare him into thinking your gonna use the cannon and if you have the chance, use it.

skindance on a 3+ is nice but to lose a war level vessel on a 1 or 2 hurts alot. this is something i never do.
oh and i have used sheriden - my ship always failed all dodges including rerolls and was killed in 2 turns of shooting.

WS-2's are nice. Especially if you are playing war priority or higher :D You can split those nicely to get WS-2 and 2 reqular white stars. Essentially free upgrade of white star to WS-2.

More than double the firepower and dodge 3+. Watch your opponent weep when you dodge everything :D
