Which to buy, SFOS or Armageddon or Both?

I currenly have the ACTA Revised Edition boxed set.

In order to have the more advanced rules (or rule additions), do I need both Sky Full of Stars, or do I just need to obtain Armageddon to obtain all the rule changes, or do I need to get both?

Thanks.

I thought the Revised Edition included updates from SFOS?

From Revised Edition Order/Info Screen:
REVISED EDITION: The revised box set brings A Call to Arms up to date with all the rules changes featured in the Sky Full of Stars supplement, allowing you to play against opponents who have that book.

NOTE TO EXISTING A CALL TO ARMS OWNERS: To update to the revised set of rules, all you need is the Sky Full of Stars supplement - you do not need to buy the box set again!

Revised edition has the essentials included, but there's newer (and much expanded) fleet lists as well as a bunch of 'advanced' rules in SFoS.

I seemed to notice that in some posts in the forum, talking about troops and breaching pods, etc. Those are not in the revised edition at all.

I believe, and I could very well be wrong, that the revised edition brought the League together so you can put any league member in your fleet.

I wanted to be able to do the breaching pods, etc, so that's why I'm asking if Armageddon has all that too or if I needed both.

Definitely get SFoS first. I just got my copy of Armageddon and I have to admit it's not nearly as "neat' as SFoS. SFoS has the tweaks like breaching pods and troops, complete rules for space stations, and a lot of other cool stuff. Armageddon isn't bad, but but SFoS is 'better.'

SFOS contains the rules for boarding actions, space stations, skin dancing, using Sheridan and Narn Warleader G'Sten in your fleets, planetary assaults and expanded campaigns. You also get revised and expanded fleet lists, including variants of most major ship hulls.

Armageddeon has a page or two of rules updates - notably revising auxiliary craft and stealth. The bulk of the book is a further revision of the EA fleet list (split into three eras), then the new ships, the aincents, and the FAQ, which notably revises the stats on a number of SFOS ships, as well as the Vorlon and Shadow fleets.

SFOS is far more important an update. If anything, Armagedeon is a SFOS suppliment than an ActA one.
