Whats the status of SST:Evo?

Just like the Conan minis game I'll bet... :? Not that anyone official will tell you anything official.

I'd say read S&P, but the latest edition had no mention of SST.

Think it may have been delayed... nothing new there then.

I think you people are not showing enough faith in MP!
I'm sure there is a very valid reason for there not being much in this S&P, and I am without doubt that there will be lots in next month's.

Wouldn't you rather them be taking everything they're doing with/learning/hearing from BEvo and the old SST, and making SSTEvo that much better, than just rushing into things?

It looks like BEvo is coming along nicely (thankfully, as I'm a player), and I am sure they are putting their R&D into SSTEvo in a very constructive way.

Patience and faith, people!
It'll come, and it'll come AWESOME.

That would be fine Voncouger, but after a year and a bit of silence and delays, only to be broken with previews we've already seen and more silence faith tends to get stretched a lil thin...

i read 45 days away woooohhhooot

You need to read more carefully:

Starship Troopers Evolution is 45 days away from our warehouse - as soon as the order is given. We won't give that order until we are absolutely sure the models we get back from the factory will match your expectations

45 days once they place the order.

LBH

But even if the order was placed today its going to miss next months S&P article...
Infact, they're gonna have to place it soon if they want anything to show at Gencon wont they?

Ah well, I actually thought Mongoose was going to start showing us greens and prototypes for a while, but it looks like we wont see anything till the big launch... or maybe September...

Even if they did show the greens I'd say 90% of the first years worth of stuff would be already done in plastic or metal. Maybe they do not have the greens to show, yet that is.

You're right there dude, if they don't have the greens to show, or the blown up masters, then they can't be producing the miniatures yet, even if they're using the existing models and just assembling and painting them, they'd have some kind of prototype back... I guess it could be done entirly in china, including the sculpting, but Im guessing theres a very good reason why people don't do that!

I've just never understood why Mongoose doesnt think the fans would like to see stuff before its produced. The only greens I remember seeing ever were some very blurry pictures of the skinny slaves (So blurry they almost looked like humans...) and possibly the pilot for the MI spaceships (For some reason painted (Very well) dispite a large indentation on the right thigh....). Even if they can't be bothered to get anything reworked fans could at least demand more work from sculptors they like!
A situation like last time where terrible releases clearly from the same bloke pile up till the game is canceled should never be repeated.

I'm sure alot of people really wanna know whether or not they've got the skinnies right this time round really, but we've been shown absolutly nothing on their front (And it could be argued they were the range that did the most doamage to SST v1), and at present were being asked to believe that SST:Evo has gotten to one month before its release and they havent had anything to show anyone but a couple of pages of fluff written last year?
Alarm bells are ringing precisely because of the lack of information we've been given, and thats sad because I wanna believe its gonna be perfect this time round...

Dunno. One thing to produce something for one EVENT and one thing to produce large supply for worldwide release :D

well im going to get as much of the old stuff as humanly possible cause i think the game is going to croak. I want to have at least 3 huge armies and all the rules before then.
