What is the Base Damage for a Bossonian Longbow?

On page 135 and on the Bossonian Solder NPC sheet its its shown as D12.
But in the stregnth bow example on page 141 its listed as D10.

I assume its the D12 but I'd thought I'd ask.

I'm guessing d12, since Howard makes a point of how it shot large arrows that dealt massive damage. Then again, he made a big point about the power of the Hyrkanian bow, and it's kinda underpowered compared to some of the others.

Taking a look at the "Vincent_Darlage_Soldier.pdf sheets" I would suggest it's the 1d12. The Hyborian, Bossonian, Hyperborean, Vandhyan and the Zhingaran soldier reference this dice as their range attack damage.

As stated several times elsewhere: Where rules and examples conflict, the Rule is correct and the example is wrong.

And harvid, it has always been about choosing rules. One can choose to play Conan RPG, Slaine, 3.5 DnD, 3.0 Dnd, etc. etc. Within all the books there are Optional rules as well.

As has been commented on repeatedly the editing on the book is poor. What little was done appears to have concentraited more on the major charts rather than examples in the text.

I'd go with D12.
