H High Sierra Mongoose Dec 4, 2006 #2 well, for me the Minbari is a fleet just screaming for my best efforts. in terms of the paint scheme I would look at different species of fish, probably tropical types. Once I've got that I would practise blending one colour into the next so that you get that lovely change in colour from the wingtips to the main body. and finally I would go for a nice gloss varnish to give it that slightly shiny finish (but dont go too silly, its got to be an understated sheen)

Black undercoat Ultramarine basecoat Prussian (darkest) blue wash Dark blue/Ultramarine highlight to about 50-50 mix. I blended the 'stripes' back the other way from the highlight, working back to the really dark blue.
