Wave 1 Reprints?

Ok, so from Matt's earlier posts it seems that Wave 1 sold out in Europe and only a trickle will make it here to the US. I know that the second wave of models is not too far behind that.

The question I have is when will the second production run of the first wave of models take place? They really do seem like the most important core units and it would be tough to play without them.

So, when will see more of this first wave of models?

No, they'll still get out in time, but because of the whole month delay bit on ordering nerfs us on supply

I can't imagine Wave 1 being limited to one production run? MGP doesn't do that with any of their other games. Why would they start with this one? It doesn't make any sense from a marketing standpoint...

Now, when more of wave 1 will make it to market is a better question!

Yup.

It's just matter of how fast they can produce those. After first month(which is busiest of all since it contains more boxes than other months) they should hopefully be able to catch up soon.

And yes wouldn't make sense from marketing point of view. They hype this much, are intending to make this something big and then make first wave limited edition with not even enough for all who are interested?-) What sort of marketing THAT would be...

But yeah. When?-)

Matt stated WAYYYYY back that no model would go out of print as long as it's still selling. In other words, you should be able to get wave 1 for a long time...

Well if supplies are very limited in the US, it may well cause issues, gamers are a fickle lot by nature.

I hope there are plenty of figs to be had by Mid to late Feb.

Would hate to see this become a Xbox 360 or Playstation3 type launch with figs only buyable through Ebay.

Being in a small town I notice our stores get less attention than a store in a major city from the distruibtors, heck my whole state is just at 2 million folks, compare to like Houston Tx, the city is up to over 5 million maybe more now, hard for a store to have the volume when there is so few folks around.

So fingers crossed and all that to see what happens here,

Which was actually incorrect - everyone was offered them at the same time.

Good to know. Can you let us know more details as they become available. There is a lot of buzz about this game locally and gamers will be wanting to know when they can get the first wave models if they miss on this first shipment.

Funny...my local shops expressed something of surprised when I mentioned it after you announced it was going so well, Matt.

Our shop uses two distributors and both had product available for stores to pre-order through the end of November for gauranteed stock and anything after that as "first come, first serve".

Found out this evening that Centurion is having a Monggose rep (no idea who) visit and promote the game later this month. An inquiry to Centurion regarding the recent pics has been passed on in hopes of passing it to the rep.
