Wargaming Online sold?

Poi

Mongoose
I've seen on another forum that Mongoose may have sold Wargaming Online to DriveThru/RPGNow.

Can anyone confirm/deny?

An interesting development, particularly since I believe a number of people working on WaW material were planning to put them up for sale through Wargaming Online. I doubt that it'll make that much of a difference, but I'm watching how this develops with some interest as a number of my titles are for sale through WO.

When were Mongoose going to tell us?

Right now!

Wargaming Online always had great potential, but we were never able to give it the time and resources it deserved.

As a vendor on both Drivethru RPG and soon Wargames Vault, we believe this is the best thing that can happen to the site, as Onebookshelf are extremely good at promoting their sites, and offer superb service to their vendors.

We are expecting good times ahead for wargaming downloads!

OK, but here's a question, the announcement on TMP stated that Mongose had announced yadda yadda yadda (one slayer in all the world, etc  )

So where exactly did the referred to announcement exist before TMP mentioned it?

Umm. . . it exists in the announcement. . .

I think LBH means why didn't you tell us first? (LBH, forgive me if I'm wrong)

There is no announcement on the Mongoose site, nor on Wargaming Online.

Maybe Mongoose made the announcement to TMP?? They didn't say it was a _public_ announcement, did they?

We will have an announcement when the change is actually made - we have no reason to post this ourselves yet.

No you were right Poi, and I agree with what you say, TMP mention an announcement has been made, but there's no such mention of it by Mongoose that we know of.

I mean if Halifax put up a post saying that Virgin had announced that Virgin had bought Northern Rock, but you saw no mention of it on the Northern Rock, or Virgin websites, etc you'd wonder wouldn't you.

If nothing else Matt, making an announcement on the Mongoose site would have stopped this thread happening.

I need to sit down for a moment.

Someone on the Mongoose forum agreed with me. I thought I was a troll, and here I am, vindicated by a mod. :D

Not quite, you were agreed with by me, I am also a mod, but the opinions I express on here are my own and nothing to do with the official Mongoose line.
