Victory class naming conventions?

Is there a canon naming convention for the Victory class? (ie normally ships of a class have a common theme for their names, such as (USN) US Presidents for carriers, States for Battleships etc).

So far we have 2 named Victory class, the Victory (Name class) which would suggest either success (Triumph and similar names (reaches for a Thesaurus)) or famous Naval vessels (HMS Victory), and the Excaliber, which would suggest a famous sword naming scheme.

Since I have two Victorys, and they are just such d@*m impressive models :D it seems appropriate to name them (especially if I get into a campaign)
Currently I'm looking at the Triumph (success) and Terminus Est (sword)
Suggestions or comments?

Mine is the Thunderchild.

Isn't it two words? :P

All the suggestions here are good. You could continue the Arthurian theme with Lancelot, Galahad, Avalon, Camelot etc. or use famous ships of the Royal Navy. Things like Furious, Iron Duke, Vanguard, Warspite, etc. would all work.

I am going along the lines of the swords of the round table. I am getting two Victory Class Cruisers and naming them Excalibur and Albion.

Albion wasn't the name of a sword of a knight of the round table. It is an archaic name for Britain.

Although, IIRC, it was the name of the sword in Robin of Sherwood.

I think I named mine Columbia and Challenger, in honor of the American space program. I thought about Arthurian legend and all, but figured everyone else would think of that. So I thought they might name them after other famous or noteworthy ships to promote a noble legacy for each one.

So Boum boum bouum and BOumm Again are also good names if we refer to space programs ;-)

(There is always a boom...)

But you can try : Balmung, Ascalon, Arondie, Angurva, Almace, Bélisandre, Brinnig, Courtoise, Dáinsleif, Durendal, Flamberge, Galantyne ...
as sword names :D
