am sure i listed them but thanks, i noticed that before and was sure i corrected them. will do for next time, altho that prob wont be until we get starfury and t-bolt counters.

Do you just need pictures of the counters like from the sheet? I've got most of the counters in PDF form so it's pretty easy to carve out any of the ones that are needed.

yeah that would be cool, if you can send the pictures at the normal size (or bigger as easier to shrink than stretch).

couple of other things missing that i hadnt noticed as more peoplpe are starting to play now:

vorlon light cruiser range is wrong.

vorlon transport has 34ad to the front.

rothan missing rear light plasma cannon (altho that must have been pre-me taking over stats).

to all vassal players try use as many fleets as possible and any faults report in this thread, i will update them as i see them and in the new year sometime once i get the aforementioned fighter counters will release the new update. this gives you guys over 6 weeks to get some games in and let me know whats up. thanks.

above corrected for 7.3, rothan also had a beam for some reason but thats been changed. in my version 7.2 the particle beams on chronos have AF, they didnt in 7.1 so must assume you were looking at that.

starfury and t-bolt counters kindly supplied by obsidion. all pictures on all ships now, just leaving it for chance for people to find/pick faults :)

Just sent you the picture for the Lakara along with stat corrections for the Abbai, Brakiri, and Drazi.

7.2 has a lakara, altho not like your one so guess you must be checking 7.1.
the league stats i have corrected as you put. anything armageddon should be pretty much right apart from a few errors of mine. i didnt check all the pre-armageddon stuff but seems i should have done anyway as theres lost appearing in there.

have also changed the sagi for next version and will add the 2 new drazi ships as well.

Not really sure on the versions at this point since when I click on the link above it shows that I am downloading ACTA mod v7.2 for Vassal. The file that comes down though is labeled as ACTA_V_7.zip. Is the wrong file on the server?

For the Lakara, the version I pulled down had a picture of a Bimith with the word Lakara on it.

hmm odd, i will have to check that out. yes i have updated turns on the vorlons. perhaps 7.3 will be out earlier as obsidian is working hard to point out faults, and now i know not all the original vassal ships were correct i am goign through them witha fine tooth comb

well 7.3 is ready, i have counters for all ships now as far as i know. all corrections mentioned have been changed, plus quite a few others as i went through, think maybe some were from original ACTA rather than revised. anyway do you guys want it? or leave it for a bit so you can play without another download, i know how frustrating it must be to get constant updates (i have to change them and upload them ;) ). tell me when ready and i will upload it.

Well, I would like to have it. Not sure about everyone else though since they have games on going. Ultimately I am looking at developing a custom java class to go into this that will handle the attacks for you. Enter the AD, click off a few traits and enter some data about the defender and off it goes... Like I said in another thread I did this years ago with a standalone web page that did all the work, but now the trick is getting that same functionality into Vassal so that games move quicker for people.

ok

that should be the link, everyone feel free to use whatever version you like altho that one should be fully updated finally :)

yup bung it up there! I probably wont be playing my tourney game tonight after all as I'm feeling like death at the moment but would be nice to have some proper fighter counters when I do!

I'd like to propose the inclusion of a new turning arc template. It would be available in a submenu beside the Fire Arc turnplate.

I know it would speed up my turning of ship counters, since with the current method i usually have to make a couple of attempts at accurate rotation, after zooming right in close.
The turning arc template is 6x6, half the size of Fire Arc Template, and should appear 50% faster, and cause less memory failures. It also allows reasonably accurate turning from a distant view.
And it would be entirely optional, use if it helps or stay with the manual turning method.

The following picture is a ship with the Turn Arc Template activated as a guide.

This would have to be tested, playing a full game using the Turning Arc Template for all turning. There could be memory issues!

If this is something u would like included in the next mod, speak up now :D

I wanted to take this opportunity to repeat my warning about using multiple stellar debris and the fire arc template.
It can cause an out of memory crash in vassal. If this occurs to you, during a multiplayer game, simply save the game and come back re-synch with your opponent.

Heres some practical steps to avoid it occurring.
1) If your using multiple stellar debris counters (clouds, asteroids fields) always choose the smallest available 6x6.
2) The fire arc template is the worst culprit! Always zoom in first before activating the fire arc template! I'd advise your opponent not to attempt to zoom in either while this template is active either!

hThe following example is the worst combinaton of things u can do!
You activate the fire arc template of a ship which is close to stellar debris (basically any stellar debris that is in view) and then you zoom in for a closer look.

If you encounter similar crashes please consider posting here. I'm having difficulty pinning down what is causing this problem, so more info would be appreciated!

PS: been working on this issue. Whats always puzzled me is, the fire arc template seems always to be involved when an out of memory failure occurs, which is caused by to much color depth, but the fire arc template has the lowest color-depth possible, hence my confusion on why its causing a problem!
However i think i've discovered the answer!
The problem maybe caused by the different color-depths of the fire arc template and the other stellar debris counters. I've read on vassal troubleshooting that counters should be the same color-depth,especially larger ones.
I'll do a test tomorrow, and give them both the same color-depths.

Good idea Jay, but rotating a ship to its max degree turn hasn't really been an issue from I can tell. the movement tracers that are left behind when a ships is moved provides a handy reference point to gauge how far to rotate. the ships counters themselves have lines indicating 0, 45, 90 etc degree arcs from the counter centerpoint.

A boresighting template, on the other hand, would do wonders. Trying to line up a Boresight on a ship more than 12" away is a serious pain. Bit hard to stick your head down to the table level to gauge how close you to true boresight. The range tool works for that but only close in where you can see the 0 and 180 degree marks on the counter; the more you zoom out, the harder it is to see them.

Is there any way to create a template that can rotate with the ship? click on the template, and then rotate the counter appropriately? I see the template being a simple line 45" inches long, with a small tick mark every 5 or 10 inches along the line.

Yes in theory that would be possible. However Vassal has problems with larger counters. The boresight counter which you have described may cause problems.
But its a very interesting idea and definitely worth trying. I'll get to work on it after i've finished fixing the other issue i've described in my above posts. :D

I agree that a turning arc template would be a good addition.

As for boresighting, I've begun to keep an 8x5" index card beside the computer and use that as a straightedge for lining up boresights.
