Vassal ACTA Gaming Club?

Hi all.
I've decided to start a Vassal ACTA online gaming club, mostly for selfish reasons.
None of my friends play ACTA and i'm not very social or able to travel so Vassal ACTA is about the only gaming i can get
Are you in the same situation?
If so, would you be interested in some Vassal ACTA?

The objective of the gaming club is to get people playing ACTA online who would otherwise not get the opportuntiy to play much in real life.
I would like to stress (in the strongest terms) that it would be the Fun element of playing ACTA which would be the goal of the club.
Power gamers who must win at all costs are not welcome!

Some ideas i have been thinking of would include making a website for the club. However i've no knowledge at all about doing such a thing but i'm certainly interested in learning.
Anybody who could offer advice on making such a website, i would really appreicate any helpful comments on this thread regarding it.

I would also suggest the using of Obsidians excellent ACTA combat sim in concert with Vassal ACTA. However such a combination would need a neutral scoremans to relay the results of attacks to both players, thats something i would be happy to do!
I believe such a method could shorten games of ACTA online by upto 50% or more!

Another idea would be to use audio during gameplay using programs such as MSN/YAHOO messengers or others.
Given previous experiences of ACTA online, it may be better to split the club into USA/Canada and UK/Europe, given the time differences.
However occasssional cross continent play could be arranged.

The ACTA online club would be strictly over 18's!. (My apologies to younger gamers).

i would be interested, but not using obsidians combat sim. how can involving a 3rd person speed it up i dunno?

Have you tried the Combat Sim?
It can resolve attacks in 5 seconds, giving u the end results (including all critical hits and their effects).
The neutral third party then discloses the results of the attack

If I get network connection that doesn't break down constantly at most irritating time(try playing online poker when you have flush with ace high(ace in your hand) and with over 100$ on the stakes from you and then have connection cut down to see what pain means. Thank god only virtual money...) most definetly yes!

Being disconnected isn't such a big problem with Vassal.
Your opponent stays on the server, you can then return and "re-sync" and the game restarts from the point u go disconnected.

It is if network stays disconnected for say 7 hours! There's no quarantee how long those disconnections stay...

For example: Yesterday it went offline 19.00, came back today 11.00 or thereabout...

Or it can come back soon. You can't tell.

Very, VERY unstable network...

And it disconnects very often...

HOW the company has managed to screw up their network this badly is beyond me. They show high skill in making extremely bad networks...

If other companies would be allowed in a second...Too bad said company has paid to have monopoly...

I have tried to look around but no other company is ALLOWED to provide broadband there...

Bummer.

But hey...It was even worse for 20 weeks...No connection whatsoever...
